28. Han River

Donghun is seating on the floor as the movie keeps playing on his TV

Soon the smell of popcorn fills the room as the girl with the just made popcorn in a bowl walks into Donghun's living room

"Oppa here's the popcorn", she says as she sets it on the coffee table

"I told you, I was going to make them...thank you", He says as he grabs a handful and starts to eat them

"You were so into the movie, I figure I could make them...", she says with a smile and takes a seat besides him

"I just really like this movie, 500 days of summer is my all time favorite", He says with grin as the scene where the character Summer and the main guy's scene at the furniture store plays

Yiren takes a quick at Donghun and she wishes she could read this man's mind, he's a full time mistery

After they went out to get that drink. It became a habit of them to just hang out on the following days.....

Donghun had confessed that he was trying to get over someone and Yiren said  she needed also time to forget an ex

In way their time together they didn't talk anything too serious just frequent chats and goofing around together

It just felt good to be with him.

"Want to go for a walk at the Han River after the movie ends?", Yiren says as she takes more popcorn

"That'll be good, we need to get some sun, we've being watching movies all morning", Donghun says as he keeps looking at the TV screen

Donghun in a way didn't know what to call his relationship with Yiren, but a friend was for sure. .

"I hated Summer on that movie!", Donghun says with a thoughtful mind, "But then I when I saw the movie for a second time... I understood"

"That she was in her total right to reject him....", Yiren asks they had stop at some local ice cream shop and brought her a strawberry cone that she keep eating

"That we can't force love on anyone, we can't try to get a happy ending with someone that is not there...she says it at the end...she didn't believe in love with him, with HIM", Donghun explains the most important part that to him he sees in the movie

"And she said it all along....for her love wasn't real... because it wasn't there with him....", Yiren says as now takes. bite of her cone

"Exactly!" Donghun says he then stops at a part of the fence

As he looks at the far scene, the clear water of the river reflecting the surroundings, the sun setting on the distance

Yiren comes closer and grabs his hand, without a clear explanation. As she holds it, she feels it. An electrifying sensation, her whole body feels a soothing warmth and joy takes over her body

Donghun feels the same.

He can't quite put into words what he's feeling at the moment.

So he quickly takes away his hand and looks at Yiren with confusion in his eyes

"You felt that?" Yiren asks as she walks closer, her eyes piercing into Donghun

"I'll drive you back...", he says not knowing how or what to say at this moment

"Oppa please....tell me you felt that....what was that?" Yiren grabs him by the sleeve and Donghun shakes his head

"I don't know...but my body felt a need Yiren, like I just want to hold you once again", Donghun replies with a soft voice and soon Yiren eats the rest of the ice cream and her arms go around his waist

This is the first time they actually hug.

Donghun places his arms around her, she feels so tiny.

But.

Is not the same....

He says to himself

They stay like this for a moment

Then Donghun breaks the hug and starts to walk towards his car. Yiren walking besides him

"Oppa...do you like me?" she asks without hesitating, her heart racing like crazy

"Yes, I do like you", Donghun says. They've being friends for a short time. But the fact that he likes to spend time with this girl can't be deny

"I see....you know I haven't found my soulmate yet but if I do, I want that person to be like you....",Yiren says with a smile and she opens the door to get inside the car

Donghun can't say the same thing.

Because he already found his soulmate.... Jun.

Even if he'll never see him again.

Is the only truth for him at this moment.

So he just can just reply, "You need someone better than me Yiren" and starts the car

"...but you felt that...like maybe....", Yiren wishes to say something dumb and crazy....but is cut off by the other

"My body did...but my heart is still healing Yiren", he says and these words are enough for Yiren to understand the situation

Just like the main guy from that movie, she doesn't want to push her feelings.

But maybe one day.....it could be possible?

She thinks to herself

As Donghun just try to not make a big deal of what he felt back at Han River, when he grabbed her hand.
