Ai’s POV:

I woke up to Kakashi shaking my shoulder. “Hitomi, wake up! I’m supposed to be getting ghenin today.” I roared and snapped at his hand. “Remember, manners.” I growled and opened my eyes. “Come on.”

I stood and jumped off the bed, then turned and looked at him, visibly unhappy. He held up a collar and leash, and I rolled my eyes. ‘I really hate this place…I have to find a way to lose this guy so I can get some snooping done…’ I thought as I let him put the collar on. I must admit, though, it fit my style: black with silver studs, and the leash to match. Still, I had to find out who the other Jinchuuriki were, and that wasn’t going to happen with this guy thinking he could treat me like some pet. …Oh, yeah. Stupid missions…He pulled lightly on the leash, and I followed.

“See? Not so hard, is it?” he asked. I lowered my head and thought of how to lose this guy. “Aww, it’s not that bad.”

Try living my life…’ I thought.

We walked to the Academy, and he told me to meet him at the roof. Stupid idiot. As soon as I was sure he thought I was on the roof, I used an invisibility jutsu and ran to the Hokage’s office. I turned on my Sharingan and turned into a human again, using the same invisibility jutsu. Finally, I found what I was looking for: the folder on all of the Jinchuuriki. It had pictures and complete information on every single one. I smiled and pulled out my sketchbook. I quickly made copies of the entire file then transported myself to Kakashi’s house, hid the files, and ran to the roof, still managing to get there before Kakashi did.

He saw me and smiled, then sat on the rail next to me. Three kids came up onto the roof and sat down, two boys and a girl. (Not Team 7) I lay down and curled up, resting my head on my paws and looking off to the side sadly. While the team went through their introductions, I played with some clay.

“Hitomi, aren’t you going to introduce yourself?” Kakashi asked. I looked at him as if he was insane. “Ok…This is Hitomi, my tiger.”

“Kakashi-sensei, I thought you summoned dogs,” the girl said.

He nodded. “I do. This tiger just seems to show up around me, so I’ve decided to keep her.” He petted the top of my head. “She’s pretty tame. You can pet her if you want.”

I looked over and glared at him, then barely tolerated the kids petting me. He led the team to the training grounds, and the leash tugged me along. He pulled out two belles, and I rolled my eyes. This test was so stupid…Well, he let me go to lay down while the test was in progress, so I hid and turned on my Sharingan. The team didn’t cooperate or work together at all. It was pathetic. They didn’t even use jutsu, making it even more boring. I decided to walk through the village, and ran into that kid again.

“Hey, Hitomi!” I walked over to him and sat down. “Let’s go get some Ramen!”

I shrugged and ran into an alley, then came out as my human form. I tied my hair back and let my bangs fall over my eyes. “My treat, so eat as much as you like, hm!”

“Alright!” I smiled and we walked to the Ramen shop. “Two orders of Ramen!” I pulled out some clay and played with it while we waited for the food. “Hey, what are you doing?”

“I’m sculpting, hm. What do you think, hm?” I asked, handing him a small clay fox.

“This is awesome!”

I smiled. “Thanks; it’s yours, hm. So, you’re old enough to be starting the Academy tomorrow, hm?”

He nodded. “Yeah! And I’m going to be the strongest ninja in the village!”
