The End of the World (Feitan x Reader)

Chapter 5

"Stupid brat, we're both in detention you short term memory idiot." He harshly said and I blushed in embarrassment.

I totally forgot that we both received detention because of getting accused by something we didn't even do. I was about to say something but was stopped when the lights started flickering.

We were in the hallway that time and the detention room is at the ground floor where the lights don't normally work properly. The Principal said that it's the best place to have a detention so the students will learn their lesson for there are rumors that there was a student who committed suicide at this floor.

"Is that normal?" I asked Feitan and he just walked past me.

"Tch. Scaredy cat." I heard him mumbled and I glared at his back, but then ran after him because I didn't want to get left behind.

As we were walking through the long hallway, I could feel as if someone was watching us. The lights kept flickering and I didn't notice that I was close to Feitan.

"Stay in your own personal space brat." Feitan pushed me away from him but not that hard.

"Midget!" I scoff and he glared at me although he didn't say anything back because we were outside the detention room.

Michael opened the door for us and gave us a look of disbelief.

"Y/n L/n, I never thought this day will come. What did you do to end up in this place?" He asked and I ignored him and went inside the room.

I chose the seat at the back of the room so I can be far away from Feitan and he sat at the other side of the corner. It was only him and I in the detention and I put out my headset to block all the sounds out.

Thirty minutes had past and I was getting bored. I look to where Feitan was and he was reading something. I then decided to see what he was reading since he's the only one I can talk to at that moment.

Michael was busy with his stuff and I didn't want to talk to him because he'll be checking me out anyway, yep he's a pervert. I sat in front of him and removed my headset.

He didn't even look up or notice my presence. Maybe he did but he just chose to ignore me. I cleared my throat to get his attention but he was still focused on what he was reading. I look at the cover of the book to see the title but it was covered with black paper.

I cleared my throat again and this time he glance up to me then back to his book.

"What are you reading?" I questioned him.

I know it's weird to talk to him and all we've done is fight but I was bored at that moment and needed someone to talk to. Plus the signal on my phone is somehow glitching so I couldn't really text anyone. It was a bad reception in the detention room after all.

"Hello? Didn't you hear me?" I repeated but still didn't get any response so I sigh in defeat. "You're so boring."

I turned around and was about to put my headset on when suddenly, we felt an earthquake. It was that strong but it lasted for twenty seconds.

"Just stay calm, it's just a small earthquake." Michael instructed and I glanced at Feitan who was still reading whatever he was reading.

Oblivious midget!

After about five seconds, we felt a really strong earthquake and I had to stand up from my seat to prepare to drop, cover and hold. Michael was also standing from his seat and got his walkey talkey out.

Feitan also looked up from his book and put it aside as the earthquake lasted for another ten seconds. You can hear the wall creaking and dust falling, as well as some of the stuff inside the room falling.

"Stay here children, I will check up on the others. The walkey talkey is not working. Make sure to clean everything and afer you do that, you'll be free to go." Michael instructed and left me and Feitan in the room.

I look at Feitan who was also looking around and I already started picking the stuff up from the ground. He soon joined me and when we're about to finish, there was another strong earthquake.

Me and my clumsy self didn't manage to regain my balance and fell towards Feitan, who also didn't manage to keep his balance and he fall backwards. The earthquake lasted three seconds but it was the strongest one out of all the previous ones.

The things started falling again and I saw some of the trophies falling down to us. I felt Feitan wrapped his hands around my body and putting me under him, making the trophies hit him.

I was shock at what he just did, I could hear him grunting in pain as five of the trophies landed on different part of his body. After he was sure that nothing will fall on us, he stood up and offered me a hand.

"Ummm... thank you." I loudly whispered and he only glanced at me.

I couldn't understand why he would do that, I mean we hated each other's guts but he saved me from the pain that I was suppose to receive.
