The End of the World (Feitan x Reader)

Chapter 8

"Me want to know what family means." Feitan replied and you almost laugh at what he answered but you remembered the situation, this wasn't the time for any jokes.

"This isn't the time for any jokes Feitan." You stated.

"Not joking." You look into his eyes and saw that he was indeed serious.

"Oh..." Was all you can say.

Suddenly, you saw a familiar blonde hair in one of the room.

"Hey, that's Kurapika!" You pointed and the three of you went to the room.

Kurapika opened the door for the three of you to enter and you saw everyone there, even the Phantom Troupe.

"Y/n! Thank God you're okay!" Kurapika pulled you into a hug and you blushed furiously.

"Y/n/ Oldhag!" Gon and Killua also jump on you and hugged you.

You hit Killua on the head for calling you an old hag but you were happy to see them safe and alive. You did see some blood stains on their shirt but at least they're still fine.

Feitan also joined his friends and was now watching you closely. There were also other people inside the room, some were scared, some were minding their own business while the rest have their guards up.

"Yo Fei, glad to see you alive." Shalnark greeted Feitan.

"Tch. Almost died because of her." He pointed at you and Shalnark just chuckled.

"You saved her didn't you?" He ask and when he didn't got a response to Feitan, he grinned. "I knew it! You guys are the perfect couple!"

"This isn't the time to be having fun or laughing about anything!" Lily shouted and everyone's attention went to her. "Those things are still out there and we don't even know if our family is safe!"

All of the attention was now on Lily and you remembered that she got bitten before but she hid it with her jacket.

"Guys, she was bitten before we got here." You pointed out and Kurapika went to her.

"Is it true that you got bitten by the zombies?" He politely asked and Lily glared at him.

"You mean the monsters out there? Is that what you call them! So what if those f****** monsters bit me! Now what are you going to do about it!" Lily tried punching Kurapika but he step aside, making Lily stumble forward and her jacket fell.

She regained her balance and as she did, her bite mark on her left shoulder was clearly shown. It was covered in blood and roots coming out, it looked like it was rotting and a very bad blister and cuts from here to there.

It had taken over half of her shoulder and the roots was also shown on her neck. Fear was shown on many student's face as they witness what was happening to Lily.

"Lily..." Her bestfriend, Selena breathed out.

"No, I am not a monster! I don't want to turn into one of those things!" Lily tried covering her shoulder but she was failing.

"Lily calm down, I am training to be a Nurse. Let me take a look at that." Leorio tried helping her but she flung her arms around.

"Stay away from me!" She shrieked and people tried getting away from her. 

She then look at Selena.

"Help me..." She begged as she walk towards her but Selena was too afraid to be near her. "I thought I was your friend? Help me!"

You went in the way and tried calming Lily down but it didn't work. Lily pulled the knife on her ankle and pointed towards you.

"Lily, please calm down. We can help you, let us help you." You still tried to calm her down but she didn't listen.

"Before I die I will take all of you with me!" Lily shouted and charged towards you.

The others were too slow to react but there was one person who is faster than the rest, came to your rescue and pushed you out of the way. You look up and met with a grey orbs, you were shock to see Feitan.

"You reckless bastard." He grunted. 

All of you heard Selena screaming and when you saw her, Lily had plunged the knife into her heart. She then fell lifeless down the ground. It would had been you that was dead right now but Feitan came in time to save you.

People started panicking, some went out of the room and what was worse was you're near the exit door. Although Feitan covered you under him and again he took all the pain as people stomped over him.

You watch as his face showed pain behind his scarf, you wondered why he just saved you again and again. He was the person you hated the most but after the zombie came, he was always there for you and saving you from any trouble.

"Y/n!" You heard Kurapika called your name and you snapped out of your trance.

Shalnark came to Feitan and helped him up after everyone had left, while Kurapika also helped you. It was only the Phantom Troupe and your friends inside the room, including Lily who was now trying to remove her eyes.

"This is insane!" You heard Nobunaga shouted as you were also shock at what you are witnessing.

After Lily had removed her eyes, she fell down the ground and was flinching rapidly. Gon was shaking in fear, Killua was looking away while Leorio was filled with guilt as he didn't manage to help her.
