When her earthen jar which she used to fetch water shattered, she knew tragedy had struck. Her life was over but no one around her could truly understand the magnitude of heartache and loss she was feeling. She had been robbed. Robbed of her love and future. She would go to the marula tree where she used to meet Jesa and let it all out. Let all the pain and betrayal of her father, guilt, longing and love towards Jesa wrack her body as the tears flowed non-stop and everything around was bleak and dull.

In the after life Jesa meet The Creator, The Creator of man, and begged him to return back to his love. He wanted to come back in the form of a bird to see his most precious and the creator granted him his wish. Jesa then came back, flying and perching on the marula tree he used to meet his love under, only to see her crying her heart out. Crying for her dead boyfriend, crying for what could have been. The chief's daughter was then shocked when she heard a bird singing, singing with her dead boyfriends voice. Singing for her, comforting her.
