Song: Bennie and The Jets by Elton John
"Y/N, Taron said he won't come out unless you go in and get him."
You were about to beat that man's ass, as Harper, the PA, announced Taron's request. He was being a pain in the ass on an already extremely stressful day.
You were currently in London, on a set of the Elton John biopic Rocketman. You're an assistant director to Dexter Fletcher. You're a film student from New York University, you've gotten an apprenticeship threw your school to be on set and learn to direct from Dexter. Having much experience already from your technical high school, where you took directing/film. Workshops you took threw out the school years and summer. As well as your 3 years of college experience Dexter trusted you with a lot more than he would if you were just a beginner. You enjoyed being on set. I mean, what film student wouldn't want college credits from being on set with Dexter Fletcher and Elton John?
When you were presented with the opportunity, you were finishing up your final month as a third-year college student at NYU. It was May and finals were approaching quickly. You didn't even have to think for a second before agreeing and taking the apprenticeship. You would be needed in London by the beginning of June. The production company would be putting you up in an apartment for all of the filming, you just needed a ticket to get there. Which wasn't a problem as you put most of the money you make from your part-time job away in the bank. Filming didn't begin until August 2018, however, Dexter wanted you there for the two months of pre-production work. To show how much more work goes into films than just directing itself. So after finals, you spent the remaining month of May getting prepared to go to London.
Being the introverted person you are, it didn't surprise you when you were extremely awkward around the crew, Dexter, David, and especially Elton. Elton, being a shy person himself in his younger years, he understood. The three of them were extremely impressed with your talent in film, for you being so younger and never on an actual movie set before. Dexter quickly put more responsibility on you. This came after you went location scouting with him, for a different film, and suggested that he filmed the 'Rocketman' scene their by the windows. Two weeks in you began opening up to Dexter, Elton, and David. That's when you get him. Taron Egerton. You met Taron at the same time as Jamie and Richard. To you, it was so much to handle at once. You all met at the recording studio, it was strange to you. It was as if a bunch of films you've seen before is now mashing together to make one. You knew Taron from the movie "Sing", Richard from "Cinderella" and Jamie from "Billy Elliot". Being much younger than everyone there, you knew most of the music because of the film "Gnomeo and Juliet" Richard quiet scared you at first. He was never loud and talked to everyone. You were constantly stressed while talking to him because at first, it was extremely difficult to understand him sometimes as he has an incredibly thick accent. As for Jamie, the two of you get along quite well because you're both quiet people. Taron was interested in you from the moment he saw you. He kept getting distracted while recording because he would watch you, as you get extremely into the music. You always loved music, you can't sing or read music but you love it still. Taron also found a way to get you to talk. You're the type of person to not speak unless spoken too, however, if someone mentions a subject you know a lot about or enjoy talking about, you'll talk to a strange for days about it. So, when Elton had told him that you too really liked David Bowie, the two of you talked about his music and just music in general for as long as you could before having to get back to recording.
