"Achille you can't ignore me for forever." I whine to him, carrying him downstairs. "I bet that's why you feel sick. The baby doesn't like you treating me this way."
Achille narrows his eyes on me, pulling out of my arms before I can set him down. His hand grasping my wrist before I could walk anywhere.
"I don't want you to leave me." He confesses quietly, making me sigh sadly.
"I have to go to work though." I tell him and end up smiling. "Usually you would send me off. This is new for me to witness."
I felt bad that he was acting this way because of me. Usually...yeah, things have definitely changed.
"You can come with me if you would like-."
"Great!" He exclaims, and I see him pull of his pajama pants, revealing pants. He had on socks and when he ran to the door he slipped on some shoes. "Let's go."
I narrow my eyes at him, and he glances off.
"Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas avec vouloir être avec celui que j'aime?" ( What's wrong with wanting to be with the one I love? ) He mumbles, and I frown at him.
"What'd you say, oh cute one?" I ask, wrapping my arm around his shoulder as I open the front door. We leave the house and I lock the doors, seeing Achille staring up at me.
I couldn't help but grin at him, loving the way he was looking at me. It was soft and sweet, almost as if he was thinking lovely things. I liked seeing him look at me this way.
"What I said does not matter. You can't be late to work now can you?" He asked me, and I shook my head.
"No, I can't-."
I blink as I see us both standing before the bakery. Achille had the largest smile on his face, and he put his arms behind his back. He began to sway all cute-like, making me not be able to be upset.
"You are too cute." I whimper, wrapping my arm around his shoulder as I pull him into a hug. "Be cautious though."
"I was very cautious." He murmured, and he pulled away from me. "Now, we don't want you to be late do we? Go on ahead, I'll be inside."
I nod happily, rushing inside as I see Oscar looking at me with a smirk. I couldn't help but roll my eyes as I check myself in for attendance.
"Achille looks like he's in good spirits." Oscar whispered to me, and I look over my shoulder to see him.
"Of course he is. Why wouldn't he be?" I question, and he raises his eyebrow.
"Are you hiding something? You don't think I don't notice the difference in his eyes? What aren't you spilling-?"
"Oscar mind your business please." I interrupt in annoyance, shoving myself around him. The last thing I needed was Oscar trying to pry into my business.
Especially with Achille being pregnant...the last thing that I need to deal with is Oscar and Sabin. I care about Oscar, but he's affiliated with Sabin - the big issue here. I don't know what threats he poses and I want to protect Achille as much as I can.
Even if my way of doing it is inferior to Achille in every aspect...
"Darius don't be mean to me!" He cried, and I hear him chase after me. "I am just confused. The last time I saw you...you were supposed to be becoming a-."
"Be quiet." I snap, and he flinched.
Except he began to smirk, his eyes scanning me. The lavender in his eyes wasn't endearing right now, it was threatening. No longer a pretty thing.
