It had been raining for weeks on end. The weather reports called for another month at least of rain. Different towns from all over Japan had gone into flood warnings several times, and school had been closed a couple times.

You were on your way home from school, umbrella in hand, walking slowly down the street to make sure the wind didn't blow your umbrella away. You wanted to look around, but your town was painted in a dreary gray. You listened to the sound of your feet stepping into puddles, but you also heard the splashing of puddles from behind you, and they were approaching quickly. You continued to walk on, now hearing the people behind you yelling at each other. You turned around to see what was going on, but right as you did, one of the people collided with you, causing you to lose your balance, so you fell right back into a puddle. You slowly began to stand up rubbing your back side, but the boy beat you to it.

"GAHH!! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?!" He stuck out his hand for you to grab so he could pull you up.

"Oh yeah, I'm fi-" You stooped when you saw his face. You had never seen hair as bright as his before. The orange reminded you of the sun, something no one had seen in weeks. He had a panicked/worried look on his face as if you were going to scream at him, but at the same time, it looked so delicate. In that moment, you swore you saw color, starting off with your cheeks dusted pink.

"Are you okay?" He relaxed his face as he tilted his head. You realized you were staring at him and started to panic.

"Oh! Yeah sorry. Just think I pulled a muscle or something. What were you guys doing anyway?" You grabbed his hand and he pulled you up. Before he answered your question, he made on of his own.

"Wait, that's the Karasuno uniform! You go to our school?!" You looked down at his plain black uniform, the same with his friend.

"Yep! My names (L/N) (F/N). It's nice to meet you!" You bowed slightly.

"I'm Hinata Shōyō and this is Kageyama Tobio. We were racing home from school but I didn't see you because I was looking down. Are you sure you're okay? I hit you pretty hard." You nodded but stopped. Hinata Shōyō. Where have you heard that name before?

"By any chance are you on the volleyball team?" His mouth opened into a big grin.

"You know about me?! How?!" He was jumping slightly waiting for your answer.

"I hear some people talking about you at school. What is it called, a quick attack I think? I think they mention your name too, Kageyama." Hinata got more excited and he formed a full smile.

"Wow, that's so cool that people are talking about us! Oh wait, here.." Hinata opened his book bag and pulled out a white sweatshirt. He blushed but handed it to you.

"You're soaked and I don't want you to catch a cold, so please take this! You can give it back whenever!" You asked if he was positive, and he nodded. You grabbed his sweatshirt and looked at it for a second before thanking him. He asked if he needed to walk you home, but you said your house was right around the corner, which is was, so he shrugged it off. He looked a little sad, but he was fine after a few seconds.

"Come on Kageyama, lets finish our race. Bye (L/N)! It was nice meeting you! See you at school!" The two were already running away, so Hinata yelled and waved as he sprinted. You looked at the sweatshirt in your hands before pulling it over your head. It fit just right, and was somehow already a little warm. As you began to walk to your house, you realized that during your talk with Hinata, you couldn't hear the rain at all.
