• Yaku Morisuke - Festival - Part 1 •

  It was the middle of summer so you were pretty bored today. You decided to read a book to pass the time. You turned the page, passing the 200 page mark when you heard your phone ring on your nightstand. You leaned over and read your boyfriend's name on the caller ID.

   "Hey, Mori! What's up?" You stuck the bookmark in your book so you could listen to Yaku.

  "Hi (F/N)! I was wondering if you wanted to come to the summer festival with Kuroo, Kenma, Lev and I tonight? If we pick you up around 7:30, we can head to the bus stop and be at the festival around 8:15. Does that sound alright?"  You swung your legs off the side of your bed as you spoke. You looked at your clock which read 4:30.

   "Oh sure! That sounds fine. I'll take a quick shower, have an early dinner, and I'll text you when I'm ready okay?" Even though you couldn't see him, you could tell that he smiled a little.

   "Alright. We'll see you then!" You said your goodbyes before hanging up the phone. You placed your phone back on the nightstand before grabbing a pair of fresh clothes and heading to the shower.

{Time Skip}

   After taking your refreshing shower, you dried your hair off with a towel before using the hair dryer to finish it off. You headed downstairs to find your mom watching TV, so you started to make yourself an earlier dinner than usual, sparking your moms' interest.

   "What are you making (F/N)? You know I'm cooking later, right?" Your mom poked her head into the kitchen.

  "Oh, I'm going out with some of the guys later, so I decided I would eat earlier since we would be snacking there. We're gonna go to the summer festival that's like half an hour away." She waited for you to walk over to the stove before re-opening the fridge to grab a glass of juice.

  "Oh that sounds fun! Who are you going with?" Your mom poured her juice before putting the bottle back in the fridge and sitting at the kitchen table.

   "Mori, Kuroo, Kenma, and Lev. Mori called me earlier and invited me. I'll bring my own money, so don't worry paying for me. I'm not sure how long we're gonna stay for, but I'm assuming after the fireworks that start around 10:30, so I'll probably be home later than usual. Is that okay?" Usually if you were by yourself, your mother would make you be home before the sun set. You had done lots of different things with the Nekoma Volleyball boys (not like that 0//0), so your mom had a lot of trust in them.

  "That's fine. Just stay with the guys alright?" You looked back at her and nodded before going back to your cooking. As she washed out her glass and put it back in the cupboard, you heard a ding from your phone on the table. Because you didn't want to leave your food unattended, you decided to use good ol' Siri as a backup.

   "Hey Siri, read my new messages." The phone dinged twice from using Siri before she spoke.

   "Your message from Mori says: 'Hey, do you mind if we come by a little early? We're all ready and have nothing better to do, but if you're not ready it's fine'. Would you like to respond?"  The two beeps signaled that Siri was waiting for a response. You said yes loud enough for her to hear.

   "Okay, what would you like to say?"  Two beeps.

   "Of course exclamation point I'm cooking right now comma do you guys want anything question mark" You made sure to include the punctuation so it didn't type one big sentence. Another two beeps were heard before Siri read out your message again and asked if you wanted to send. Since it sounded good, you told her to send. You turned off the stove and put your food on a plate/in a bowl and sat down at the table. You thanked yourself for the food before using your chopsticks/spoon/hands to put your creation in your mouth. The Volleyball team always said that you were the best cook, as you would sometime bring them onigiri during practice. As you ate, you read the next message that came in on your phone from Mori.
