For the second time they walked into Virgil's room. It was pitch black again, the light of the corridor barely making a dent in the blackness. But this time they knew exactly where Virgil was thanks to the uncontrollable sobs.

From what they could see of him, he was sitting on the floor in the corner of the room. Logan stayed around the doorway, feelings weren't his forte, while Patton and Roman rushed over to Virgil's side. Patton immediately went in for the hug, but he couldn't get his arms around Virgil's back, as there was something...

Virgil suddenly got up, knocking Patton off him. "Kiddo... what's on your back?" Patton whined.
All of the sides were staying back from Virgil, and a tension fell over them all, as Virgil got control of himself and stopped crying and was finally silent, though they could all here his jagged breathing.

Roman broke the spell be suddenly gasping and said proudly to everyone, "Guess who remembered to bring a flashlight!" flicking on a torch and accidentally flashing it in Patton's face, who yelled with the sudden brightness.
Virgil took a short intake of air and yelled "Wait Roman! Don't!" but it was too late.

The flashlight was now pointed directly at him. And he was revealed, Patton screamed, Virgil had four pairs of legs extended from his back and multiple pairs of eyes, which were bright purple.
His hand was stretched out towards Roman, trying to grab the torch, but as soon as the torch landed on him, his hands fled to his eyes, trying to hide just how many there were, but he couldn't hide the legs arcing around him from his back. Tears leaked down from in between his eyes.

All of the sides looked at Virgil in shock, until Patton got up and ran to virgil, soon followed by Roman and Logan and gave him a massive bear hug. The room got notably brighter.
Virgil was shocked. 'b-but Patton, d-don't you h-hate sp-sp-spiders?' he stammered. Patton looked into Virgil's eyes, unfazed by the blank dead multitude of eyes that stared back and said

"I don't care"

Virgil chocked and hugged them all tighter. And the room brightened further. "I'm sorry" Virgil whispered, looking down at the floor. He moved to sit down on the bed, the other sides moved with him. "I just thought that after knowing about... this... you would all hate me again. Especially you Patton." Patton gasped, "why?" Virgil shuddered and said "like I said, you hate spiders, you-you're terrified of them -so since I'm one, I thought that... you would..." he choked again, "Hate me". Patton grabbed Virgil's hand in his, tears streaking down both of their cheeks.
"we could never hate you Virgil."

Well that that, but if anyone wants me to continue with this story I will, but personally I think that this is a good place to end it
