As Daniel and Bella snuck out for what felt like the 50th time that week, Daniel felt the way his mind started to overthink everything. absolutely everything.

"We should honestly feel scared for the fact that we always manage to sneak out, because that probably means that the security fucking sucks," Daniel mumbled as they got into one of Daniel's cars, or well it was more of a van, due to them having to be able to have 8 people in the car, Gabbie had to do something with her family, so she couldn't come with. Bella just laughed slowly, before answering.

"Maybe we should actually be a bit worried about that- but who knows, maybe they just let us pass because you're gonna be their king one day, and they want to be on good terms with you," she suggested, which Daniel could only laugh at.

"I like the idea of us being pros at sneaking out better," he replied with, as he started the car and began driving to Corbyn's house, where they should all be at, hopefully. The drive was a bit long, but after some time they arrived. Daniel shook the uneasy feeling he got off him, as he got out of the car, before walking over to Bella's side, grabbing her hand as they walked into the house together.

"Are you guys ever not touching each other? wait no, that sounded wrong- you guys know what I mean," Tate asked with a grin as she looked at the two of royalty.

"old habits die hard," was all Daniel responded to her statement. He was so used to being close with Bella that holding her hand, or having his arms around her came naturally. Especially in public so he could make sure she was always safe.

"Okay so, game plan. Bella will wear sunglasses and stuff, to cover up a bit, and I'll be wearing a beanie and some shades. This probably won't work for long, but it should give us at least a little bit of time to ourselves, maybe. I don't promise anything, because we really can't be sure. That's why I'm gonna ask you again, are you sure you want to go anywhere public with Bella and me? because if we get busted, which there is like a 99% chance we will, you all will end up as the talk of the country. And really, we won't be mad if you back out, we get it, it's a lot," Daniel explained as he looked at them, they had come far since graduation, but this could easily end up being a ten steps backward thingy. Daniel's phone had rung a lot of times at this point, at which he had ignored. But as he gave them the offer and felt his phone vibrate for the millionth time, he decided he should just face the devil now, instead of having to later.

"I'm gonna go pick up this phone call, you can think about in the meantime," Daniel said and took his phone out of his pocket as they all nodded.

"Daniel, where are you?" His dad asked as the first thing, clear anger in his voice. And it was clear to everyone in the room how Daniel's whole attitude had changed, in seconds he had gone from a normal teenage boy to a professional almost businessman-like facade, his shoulders tense, eyes hard and cold as he stared ahead. But to Corbyn he still looked beautiful, every part- and every side of Daniel was beautiful. Everything he did was fucking beautiful.

"Bella and I are hanging out with my high school friends," Daniel just answered, not even trying to beat around the bush.

"and why was no one notified, daniel?" His dad asked.

"Because I didn't think you'd let me go," Daniel answered truthfully.

"I would, Daniel. You're not a prisoner, but you were just in the fucking hospital- you blacked out, so excuse me for being worried when I couldn't find you," Daniel's dad pressed on, starting to raise his voice.

"Then why do I fucking feel like one?" Daniel asked raising his voice as well.

"I'm sorry, I just want you to be safe, Daniel. You're my biggest treasure, and I can't stand the thought of losing you. The other night I almost did, so sorry, for me preferring that you stay at home for the next few days," His dad said, his voice sounding calm, but it was indeed louder than before.
