Maya's crush

One day at school, Maya was late for class. She was running and she didnt watch where she was going. She bumped into a tall boy. "Oh, sorry" she said to the boy. "Its ok" he said back to her. Maya looked into the boy's eyes and the  boy looked into maya's eyes. "Im maya," she said to the boy. "Im lucas. im from texas." "Nice to meet you cowboy." lucas laughed. "Your pretty funny,   but i cant talk right now, im late for class."  "So am i, see you later Ranger RIck," Maya said and ran to history class. She sat down at the seat next to her best friend, riley. Lucas walked into the room and sat down behind Maya. Maya turned and said, "Well look who it is! Ranger Rick!" Lucas smiled and looked at riley. Once he saw riley, his smile got bigger. Maya looked at lucas then at riley. Maya's smile turned into a frown. Once class was over, Maya raced out of the classroom. riley caught up with her and told maya that she thought that lucas was cute. "Well i think he likes you, riley," maya said trying to hide her dissapointment. Riley smiled and said,"YAY!" Maya started walking to her next class. Riley ran up to maya. "Are you okay?" she asked. Maya turned and saw Lucas at his locker. "To be honest, Riles, i think Lucas is pretty cute." Maya walked to her next class, leaving Riley there with her jaw dropped open. Maya admited it. she admited that she liked lucas. Before Maya walked in her classroom door, Lucas stopped her. "Hey Maya. do you want to go to the movies after school?" he asked her. Maya smiled big and nodded. "Sure! i'll love to go to the movies with a cowboy." "Great! see  you there at four." Maya walked into her classroom door with a huge smile on her face. Then she frowned. Riley likes lucas, but lucas asked maya to the movies. how is maya going to tell her best freind that she is going on a date with the boy they both liked? Maya decided not to tell riley. i mean, its just a movie! he didn't say it was a date! but Maya felt like it was...
