Riley, Lucas, and rebel walked into class. Rebel looked really mad and Maya stood frozen. She was wondering if what rebel was going to say to her was going to be something just horrible! She saw farkle going inside and followed him. Mr. Matthews was sitting at his desk with his head lieing on the tests he is suppose to correct. "Mr. Matthews? Are you okay?" Maya asked. Mr matthews slowly lifted his head and said, " I'm fine! Sit down!" Maya was surprised and sat down. She looked over at riley and mouthed the words, "what's wrong with him?" Riley responded by mouthing the words, " auggie is ignoring him," Maya nodded her head and looked over to mr. Matthews. He drew a line on the board and and started his teaching. Maya didn't pay any attention to mr. Matthews. Mostly because he was so sad, that it was hard to understand him. But Maya kept thinking about what rebel was going to tell her. In her mind, she was thinking of all the possibilities he was gonna say to her. "Farkle time sir?" Farkle said, catching Maya's attrntion. "Yeah yeah sure!" Mr. Matthews said. Farkle got up and said something about how you can't escape the future or something. He pulled out a string of Riley's hair and a string of Maya's hair. Finally, farkle sat down. Mr matthews sat back down at his desk. "Please bell ring! RING! Ah!" Mr. Matthews said. He grabbed his stuff and walked out of the classroom. Usually, Maya loved it when class is over, but not today. She felt butterflies in her stomach. She waited until everybody walked out of class. She got up when she was the only one in the room. She walked out and saw rebel and lucas waiting for her outside of the classroom. "Rebel?" Maya said after a long pause. "Yeah rebel, what's this about?" Lucas asked. Rebel sighed. He started. "Maya-"
