Lucas was leaning against his locker, thinking about Maya and how her ocean blue eyes were sparkling at night. "Lucas," Riley said behind him. Lucas turned around and forced a smile. "Hey Riley! Last night was fun! Don't cha think?" He looked at riley with a fake smile. Riley looked mad. She sighed. "Lucas, I- we- Uh" Riley couldn't say what she was trying to say. "We need to what?" Lucas asked, feeling scared. "We need to break up!" Riley blurted out. She walked away and stopped and turned around. She saw Lucas on the floor looking into space. She wished she didn't do what she just did. She saw Maya coming and decided to ask her for advice. But she stops and thinks about dinner last night. Her best friend kept staring at her now x-boyfriend. She got angry and walked into her dad's class. Maya saw Riley storm off and chased after her. "Riley what's wrong?!" Maya asked when she caught up with Riley. "You! You're what's wrong with me!" Riley answered after a long pause. "What?" Maya asked, thinking that Riley was joking. Riley stormed in the back of the classroom and sat down in another seat. Maya got mad because Riley was mad at sat as far away from her as ever.
