I nervously grabbed the door handle and entered in. A man in grey suit talking on the phone while looking at the city view was the first person I saw. The office was really huge for one person to work in. It's even bigger than our entire family home back in Poland.
A few minutes later, I saw him faced toward my direction. I composed myself quickly.
"Good morning, Mr. Sterling."
"Aneska Nedswick, the new intern."
"Yes, Mr. Sterling."
"You will be my EA."
"I was briefed about it earlier, sir."
"Well then, I assume, you already know your job description."
"Very well, sir."
"Good. Do you have your passport with you now?"
"What? I--"
"We'll be flying to London in two hours."
"I'll see my if it's in my bag now."
I looked for it and thankfully I didn't leave it in my apartment."
"I have it, sir."
"Greart. Be ready. Go to the Chairman's office and pick up the papers I asked him to sign."
I couldn't easily wrap everything around my head. On my first day as his intern, I'd be flying out with him on a business trip already.
I nervously pressed the intercom button.
A very sophisticated young woman answered it.
"Amanda Beile speaking,"
"How may I help you?"
"Ah, this is Aneska, Mr. James Sterling's intern assistant."
"May I get the papers he sent to Mr. Sterling?"
The huge metal door opened and I was taken aback by huge rich they must be.
"Get inside," the young woman quietly told me.
"Good morning, Chairman Sterling, sir."
"You must be Aneska. Have a seat."
"Thank you, sir."
"You were sent by Mr. James Sterling, aren't you?"
"Yes, sir."
"Also, you're one of our international scholarship program benefactor."
"Yes, sir. Thank you."
"Don't thank me. Do well in your job as an intern, and who knows, you might be chosen as one of our full-time employees."
"Yes, sir."
