The tension in the limo could have been cut with a knife it was that thick. Shoto was pissed at his dad, you were pissed at his, but you were also not happy that you were only just finding this out. From the way your boyfriend was acting, it was clear that he'd had no clue about any of this but then it made you wonder if Rei knew that her son was still alive, or if the Shoto's other siblings knew.

However, the more time you spent holding Shoto's hand and accessed the situation it was very clear that the only one that knew anything before today was Enji. It made you feel sorry for the rest of the Todoroki family, including your ex. What had he been put through to act dead? And why hadn't he gone back to his family?

You'd be lying if you didn't want to reach out to see if he was actually ok, even with everything he'd put you through. In a way, love doesn't just disappear overnight it can take time for the feelings to fully burn out.

Lost in thought Shoto could tell your mind was whirring with multiple questions on what had happened, but he knew you must want to speak to Toya or Dabi. 'This could push her back to him. He is using this to get to her kind nature...the bastard is using one of his best hand!' sure, the boy with multicoloured hair and eyes was concerned on what had happened, but he also didn't want you to go back. If you went back, it was obvious you would be in for a lifetime of being lied to and cheated on, but he couldn't tell you what to do.

If he did, he'd be playing right into his older brothers plan to win you back as this was clearly what it was. If he was that concerned about coming out to the press about being the lost/dead Todoroki, then he could have done it sooner. But no, he was doing it mere weeks after a big official break up with you, and that's why Shoto knew there was more behind this than met the eye.

Leaning in his muscular arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer into him and your head leaning on his shoulder. To you, his embrace had always been comforting but now it was much more, as he kissed the top of your head and his thumb rubbed circles in your lower back.

"You ok, (f/n)?" he whispered, making your (e/c) eyes looked into his mismatched ones and a small smile crossing your lips.

"I ok. How are you?" a soft tone left your lips making a smile form on his own.

"I'm good because you're here." he pulled you closer in his body, the tension of the car dissipating ever so slightly. Rei and Fuyumi found this side of Shoto adorable, however, it just seemed to piss Enji off more. It was a jealous that his son clearly did have emotion but wouldn't show them to his own family, acting cool-headed and monotone whenever he saw the man that he was supposed to call dad.

Eventually, you all pulled up to the large building that was All Might Inc's headquarters. Getting out the car, you pulled your pass out of your bag that you carried all the time. Since this was your family's business, the Todoroki's allowed you to walk up front, hand in hand with your boyfriend.

Doing the usual checks before heading towards the elevator. Once all in, you punched the code in to get to your father's office. A code that only a handful of people knew, and when you'd asked your dad about it, he advised it was due to important documents in there.

The reason seemed rational, so you never thought more about it than that. Standing in the elevator it was clear that the large man was nervous to see your dad. It's not like they not seen each other at meetings, conferences and even done business together. However, the relationship they'd had before college had never come back, not even after your mother passed away.

Going to the top of the building the bell dinged signally your stop and as the doors opened you saw that Mira-Jane was clearly working overtime on something. However, she stopped as soon as the doors opened, getting up and walked over.
