2. What the hell...Marry You?

Entering Dabi's room, one of the guys knocked on the door.

"Hey, (f/n)" you recognised the guy as Kai. He was Dabi's best friend and when you saw him you could tell he felt bad, "I'm sorry" he sighed.

"Why did you wingman for him? Or fuck him?" Snapping, a venomous tone to your voice.

"No and I should have said something" he sighed as he brought you a coffee, "Here I made you your fav" he smiled, "You know he does love you right?" Kai commented as you just looked in the cup with your knees against your chest.

"He was super looking forward to you starting this year.... he has even been looking at couple of apartments to live in on-campus" the guy was trying to help his friend and the stuff he was saying wasn't a lie. Dabi was excited and wanted to live with you, he heard the conversation from the door, as he walked in you didn't and wouldn't look at him as he sighed.

Anyone could see why the girls would fall for him as he was a fairly tall, pale young man of a slim, somewhat lanky build, his hair was a mess of black, eyes that looked tired but had an amazing turquoise blue in colour. He did have a lot of piercing and a couple of burns, but they only seemed to make him even better looking. As well as this his was older due to an accident, which you didn't have the details off he started his college years a lot later than most and was 22, whereas you were only 18. He also knew he had probably fucked your relationship royally.

Dabi was a bit of a dork around you though especially at first, he tried to hit on you, and you walked straight past ignoring him. It took him 6 months to convince you to even sit with him at lunch but from there you hit it off.

Feeling the bed drop a little you didn't look up as you just held your drink, hearing Kai leave, closing the door behind him. Meaning it was just you and Dabi sat in silence, as he tried to work out how to make you forgive him. Then it clicked, he was going to ask you to marry him when he surprised you with the house, but he felt now would better to show how committed he was to you.

Quickly, moving off the bed from the side of you just wrapped in his towel, he rummaged through a drawer across the room. Finally, you took a sip of your coffee, your eyes puffy and red but deciding you thought it best if you left, reaching over you placed the cup down. Turning to get off the bed Dabi was down on one knee in a towel, still absolutely dripping wet, staring up at you with a tiny box in his hand which held an awfully expensive looking engagement ring.

"Please don't go.... I've been talking to your dad and I got us somewhere to live together next year...a surprise...I was going to ask you then but I need to show you how much I love you" he grabbed your hand as you just stared in shock your mouth agape and eyes wide.

'Is he fucking kidding me' you really couldn't believe the nerve of the guy.

"I can take you to the apartment...show you it's all decorated just as we would have it." Dabi paused as you opened your mouth.

"Dabi, please don't," you whispered looking away.

"You know it was a stupid mistake...I promise. I will never do anything like this again I swear on my career. I won't but please don't leave. Become Mrs Akuyaku when we graduate.... marry me...I'll do anything you're the only one that knows me for me" Grabbing you in a hug pulling your face into his warm sturdy chest.
