You lied on the smooth, cold rock. The only warmth was coming from your mates body. He lied next to you, sleeping. You and him finally decided to have pups. You were happy to hear him want pups of his own.  You had been his partner for quite some time now, and he was more than happy to hear that you also wanted to have pups.

You and Edd already knew that your pups were going to be adorable. They would have either yours or his fur coat, or a mix of both. Your or his green or e/c eyes. Maybe one of them would have heterochromia eyes, you wouldn't know until they were born. You and him both knew that they would be adorable none the less.

Your eyes suddenly got heavy, sleep wanting to take over your body. You laid your head on your paws with a quiet yawn. Edd moved his head a little, his ear twitching a little. He was awaken from his sleep, and you wondered if you had waken him up, or if the clutches of sleep losened his body.

He yawned and snuggled closer to you. You snuggled into him more as well. " I'm sorry " you whimpered out. He licked your cheek, his eyes not open. " You're fine " He yawned again. He must've been tired out from catching dinner. " are you worried? " he asked, opening one eye to look at you. 

He could barely see you, the moon was the only source of light. " No " You paused with a smile, your canines showing. " I was just thinking about the pups " You continued, and licked his cheek. He smiled and snuggled to you closer. You yawned, making a small noise in the process. You laid your head back on your paws, as he did the same. 

" I can't stop thinking of them myself " He whispered. You had bothered him about the pups so much, you though that you were annoying, but he loved to talk about the pups with you. " I'm constantly thinking about them " you whispered, closing your eyes. He closed his eyes and smiled again. 

" I know, you always talk about them " He chuckled. Your ear twitched a bit. " I know, that's because they're constantly on my mind " You said happily. He smiled and his tail began to slowly wag. " I think about you and the pups constantly too " He said. His eyes were open, looking at you in the eyes. 

" I think about you constantly too " You smiled, gazing into his eyes. He yawned, his eyes closing as he did so. You smiled and closed your eyes, laying your head on his paws. He looked down at you and smiled again. 

He laid his head on yours, closing his eyes. He began to hum a tune that you knew all too well. He always hummed the tune when going to sleep. He says it helps him sleep. You didn't know if that were true, but non the less, it helped you sleep.

He knew that it helped you fall asleep, and truth is, it helped him grow more tired as well. 

He was the luckiest wolf in the world. You were beautiful, sweet, thoughtful, and forgiving. He would always tell you why he loved you, and the list would go on and on. 

And the thought of you being in pain killed him. He had even told himself to not cry because you were in pain when you were giving birth to the pups. He told himself to instead, cry tears of joy, he would finally be a dad, and a good dad, the best dad. 

You both thought that your guys' future together would be perfect, and everything would be amazing and promising for you both, and the pups. 

And luckily, that's what your future looked like.
