(Charlotte POV)

Peter has been acting weird all night. He's not his usual bubbly self. Right now he's wringing his hands, and not paying any attention to the movie. "Peter?" I ask. "Hm?" He blinks up at me. "You good?" I laugh slightly. He nods, an uneasy smile on his face. I go back to watching the movie, still unconvinced. He's quiet the rest of the time, while we eat, through our second movie, and halfway through the third. But that's where I intervene. "Okay broski," I grab the remote from his hand, and pause the movie. "Hey- what?"
"What is wrong?"
"Nothi-"
"Do NOT say nothing. It's not nothing. You're being weird. What's the matter? You can tell me you know." I laugh, trying to make light of everything. He laughs with me, trying to take the remote from my hands. "Nothing is wrong!" He swipes at my hands. I lean farther back. "You've been quiet this whole time Pete. Something is up." I raise an eyebrow.

"I'm fine, I swear, now gimme the remote!" He laughs and lunges for it. Long story short, it ends in an awkward pose where our faces are too close together. We're quiet for a minute. He sighs. "This. This is the problem." Peter says. I furrow my brow in confusion for a moment, but then I realize what he means. I smirk. "Oh, you mean this?" I say innocently, then pull his face to mine and kiss him soundly. He tenses, but then we both melt into it. I pull away gently, and he opens his big brown eyes, blinking at me. "I really like you." He says with a slight laugh. "Is that so?" I raise an eyebrow in teasing. "I sort of, planned it out. Telling you I mean." He shrugs and stands up. I stand also and follow him, nonchalantly folding my hands behind my back. "A plan?" I ask. He nods. "Yeah we were gonna hang out, and I guess I'd sort of, give a moving speech on how much I like you." He laughs.

"Mhm." I grin. "So yeah, you ruined it." He jokes. "Apparently." I step closer to him. I put my arms around his neck. "So now that the awkward moment is over we can... um..." he trails off, because at this point our faces are close again. "I like you too Peter." I whisper, putting my hands in his hair. I then lean all the way in and kiss him again softly. This time deeper. And apparently longer. "Oh God guys, please no. Not in front of my old eyes." Clint says from the doorway. "Oooo, what are they doing?" Nat comes down the hall and peeks in. Me and Peter have pulled away by now, and Peter is flustered and blushing. I laugh. "Guuuyyysss, Peter and Charlotte were kissing!" Natasha calls. A chorus of whoops and 'finally's respond. "Guys, leave them be." Steve laughs, coming in and pushing Nat and Clint away. They eventually head back to the common room, and me and Peter are alone again. He's still standing there awkwardly. "Ya okay there bud?" I ask teasingly. He smiles shyly and puts his hands in his pockets. "I'm great, actually."

"Well good. Gotta be in good condition if you're gonna take me on a date." I say. He looks up, his brows furrowed. "I'm taking you on a date?" He asks in confusion. I give him a look. "Yes, yes I am- I am taking you on a date!" He says, realizing what I was implying. I laugh, and walk over to peck his lips again. "I don't think I'll ever get used to that." He chuckles lightly, sighing as he tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. I laugh, turning to go out the door. "Come on lover boy, lets go make some milkshakes."
