Hello everyone! This is my first ever Dramione fic. Though its all going to be a one shot or something. Just random one shots depending on my mood when I wrote it.
Anyway, I hope y'all would love it. Please don't hesitate to send requests or comments!
Also, this is inspired by Taylor Swift's song, The Last Time, featuring Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol.
Y'all can listen to the song while reading it if you want to.
All the love,
Z.*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Draco Malfoy found himself at her door. Wondering of all places why he was here. Of all places that his feet had led him. It led him to her door.
It had been 3 months since he last seen her. Since their fight. He closed his eyes, imagining her in her room all alone. With her brown hair splayed against the pillow, her bow shaped lips parted slightly as her big brown eyes stared into his grey ones.
He remembered the brokenness in those eyes when he had left. The guilt and shame eating him as he run out of her house. It had been all too much. The pain. The madness. He didn't want to remember it all. But here he was. Standing just in front of her door.
He was about to turn around when the door suddenly opened and the voice that he hadn't heard in 3 months called out to him in confusion and disbelief.
"Draco?"
He closed his eyes, remembering those lips repeating his name like a mantra. Begging him to stay. Begging him to fight. Fight for her. Fight for them.
"Draco."
He didn't know why he was here. He remembered telling her how he hated her. How he hated everything about her. How he hated the way she made him feel. Towards a mudblood.
"Draco."
He remembered how she fought back. Screaming at him to stop. Begging him to leave her. But her eyes. Those brown eyes were contradicting the words she was saying. She wanted him to stay. And Merlin how he wanted to stay.
A hand hesitantly gripped his forearm making him tense. The hand quickly let go of his arm as if she got burned. He didn't dare face her. No. He didn't want to see her face.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, her voice so small and quiet that if he wasn't listening to her, he would not have heard her.
What was he doing here? He didn't even know. All he knew was he was taking a walk. Mind absent as he stared at his feet, not caring where it takes him. But then he stopped in front of a very familiar door. Knowing who was living in there.
He was horrified when he realized where he was. Not knowing why of all places did his feet took him here.
"Draco." He turned around, mentally screaming at himself for being stupid and mindless. "What are you doing here?"
Biting his lip, he didn't dare look into her eyes. In fear of seeing the brokenness it once held. The brokenness that was caused by him.
But instead of answering her, he turned around. A lump on his throat as he tried to shake the memories away. Tears threatening to spill as he quickly walked away.
"Malfoy!" He stopped. Silently cursing at himself. "Where are you going?"
"Away from you." He spat out through gritted teeth. Closing his eyes. Merlin, why does she have to be like this?
He didn't see the look of shock pass her features as she blinked back tears.
"Then why are you here in the first place?"
"I –" he had no idea what to say. Opting to shut his mouth, he was about to walk away once again when he felt her hand on his arm again turning him to face her.
"Will you look at me?" She begged. He refused to look at her. Looking everywhere but her. Her hands lifted and took his face, forcing him to look at her. He wanted to close his eyes but the moment he saw her brown orbs staring at him. All he could do was stare back.
Memories begin to flash. And all he could do was close his eyes, willing himself not to remember it all. It was all too much.
He distinctly felt her thumbs brushing on his cheeks. Opening his eyes, he was shocked to see the silent tears rolling down her cheeks. His fingers itched to wipe it away and all of a sudden he was reminded of what was happening and he pushed her away.
"What the bloody hell are you doing Granger?" He spat at her. Glaring at the sight of her alone. His eyes scanned her and he frowned.
Granger looked like she hadn't slept in months. Her once bright brown eyes held no light it once had, instead it was darker and empty. Her brown curly hair looked like a hurricane had passed by. Her clothes wrinkled as if she had slept in the same clothes for a week. She looked like Granger but different.
"I-" she started, wiping at her cheeks hastily with the back of her hand. "I don't know."
He sneered, reminding her of the boy he used to be back at Hogwarts. She quickly shook her head before the memories start to cave in. Biting her lip, her brown eyes looked over at him. His usually slicked back silver hair was now sitting atop of his head messily. His grey eyes stared blankly at her. He was thinner, like he was back at 6th year.
"What do you mean you don't know?"
She stayed quiet. Her hands fumbling with her jumper, fingers twisting the fabric. He stood for a minute. Waiting for an answer.
When he thought that she wouldn't say anything, he turned. Only to stop, once again, when he heard her voice.
"I just missed you." His heart beats faster. He didn't know what to say. But she still continued. "And I just kept thinking why it had to end when we could have fought. We -"
"We could have made it if we weren't so high up our asses." He stated, looking back at her. She nodded slowly, still looking down.
"Yes. That and we could have just talked about it instead of lashing out at each other."
"Well it already happened."
"Yea." She mumbled, biting her lip. "We could try again." She added, staring at him with hopeful eyes.
Draco was stunned. He wanted to go back to her so badly. But he didn't want to keep hurting her. It wasn't fair to her.
"No." He said, clenching his fists tight. Willing himself to keep his hands to himself and not turn around to pull her in his arms and tell her how badly he wants her back.
She was silent for a few minutes and before he knew it, he heard her footsteps walk away. When the door finally shut behind him, he let himself relax. But his heart clenched tightly in his chest that it begun to hurt. He focused on his breathing and with a destination in mind, he apparated away.
He didn't see the girl watching him from the window. Hands gripping tightly on the hem of her shirt. Wishing him to turn around and come back. She counted to five and her heart sank to the pit of her stomach. Tears blurred her vision as she watched him apparate away.
"Goodbye, my love." She choked out. Shoulders shaking as she started to sob loudly, sinking down on her knees as she cried her heart out. "Im sorry I wasn't strong enough for the both of us."
Looking up, she saw the moving picture of the both of them. Happy and in love. She smiled sadly and whispered, hoping it will get to him. "For the last time, I love you Draco Malfoy."
