"HAYOOOO" yelled Wynonna slamming the front door.
"Hi, Wynonna..." said Nicole in their usual ironic tone "you're early...?"
"Shit, really?" Wynonna sat to take off her boots. When she turned around, the older Earp found out that Nicole was actually balancing, one foot on a stool, trying to hang a garland. "I could sit there, watch you fall, laugh and take a picture...But, shit, guess we're losing a great time cause you look hurt, do you need help HaughtyStruggly?"
"I'm fine" Nicole's voice dropped a little under the pain in her arm.
"Haught let me help.."
"I'm fine! Don't worry..."
"Nicole seriously? You could open the suture... NICOLE STOP AND SIT, NOW"
"Hey hey relax... OK, here, I sat down, I'm okay, I promise"
"AUNTIE NONNA! AUNTIE NONNA! AUNTIE NONNA" yelled Julia with her sweet voice running towards her aunt and finally jumping in her arms. The little girl, was already full of energy, wearing her favourite white dress with rainbow shorts and shoes, she was ready to play all day.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY CUTIE!" exclaimed Wynonna.
"Is everything okay?" asked Waverly since she had heard their voices rising.
"All good! Look your Momma N finished to decorate the house..." answered Wynonna, showing the beautiful room, in white and yellow, to her niece."...Oh my god, Waverly, it smells SO GOOD, is this homemade pizza again? Lasagna?Cakes?Salt or Sugar? I'm HERE FOR IT!" she added while getting close to the kitchen, but her sister got in her way.
"Jeez you still are unbelievably hungry when pregnant, but No excuses! You'll see, and you'll like it, I promise...Even more as a surprise!"
"Grmmbl, not fair..." and Wynonna turned back to sit on the couch and let Julia fall on her chest for a big hug. "So Haught.. you're family is coming today?"
"Yep, all of it..." Nicole looked still a little bit worried but Waverly's attempt to make them both cool down finally paid off a little. But her answer was quickly cut off by a few noticeable sounds of boots on the front porch.
"Good Afternoon Ladies!" Doc's entrance made everyone smile as they all gathered to greet him "We left the horse saddles on the front porch, is that okay?"
"Oh, that's fine! But the HORSES? Where did you leave 'em?" asked Waverly as she stepping out of the door. She saw Alice in the distance, dutifully brushing the horses, hanging on at the barn's fence.
"HEY! ALICE! AUNTIE WANTS A HUG FIRST!" the little brunette turned around, smiled at the sight of Waverly, lowered her hat before giving the last kiss to her poney, ran to her and fell heavily into her arms. "Oh my god, hahaha, When do you stop growing up baby girl?"
Alice quickly got out of the hug, clicked her boots together and tiptoed to reach the highest possible before answering proudly "Not before I outgrow You AND auntie Nicole."
"Well...To outgrow me I give you a week...But Nicole, it's gonna be really really hard!" Waverly's smile quickly faded as she watched a car slowly park in front of the house, she took a few seconds to realize that it was actually Nathan's (Nicole's brother).
"Who is this?" asked Alice following her auntie's look.
"It's Nicole's Mom, Dad and Brother..."
"I didn't know she had ones?"
Waverly looked back down at her intrigued niece before adding "Well, she does...Exactly like you! I mean in a few months...Are you excited?"
"YEAH! A lot! A little bit scared that's all..."
