the two made their way over to the denbrough residence. catherine sniffled and rubbed the sleeve of her navy hoody across her face. "i'm sorry" catherine said.
"h-hey it-it's okay. i just d-d-don't really get it i-i m-mean , d-did y-you know b-betty s-so-somehow?" bill said as they reached the porch , dumping their bikes on the front yard. they sat down on the porch steps , catherine wiping the remaining tears off her cheek.
"no i-i no it's just. the universe i'm from some psycho person is making is all live through our favorite movies and this is mine. a lot of people die and i was brought here to save everyone. if that doesn't work , i-i can't leave." catherine said.
"y-you'll be fine right? o-otherwise t-the plot is ruined a-and you shouldn't be h-here anyway." bill said trying to comfort her. "i guess you're right , i mean otherwise the movie would be way shorter." catherine said standing up and offering bill a hand to.
bill gladly took it as they both walked in to the house. "we're home!" bill shouted as he locked the door behind him. the two teens took their shoes off and went upstairs to the room that they shared. on their way up they crossed an open door.
catherine knocked on the door and said.
"hey georgie , you okay?" catherine asked as she heard coughing coming from the little boy's bed. "yeah , just a little sick." he said as catherine sighed a breath of relief. she thought he could've left the house or it was pennywise instead but luckily georgie was just in his bed , sick.
the teens made small talk with the boy and left to what was now their room. "how about we do something fun tomorrow?" catherine asked. "how about we go to the quarry tomorrow? ask the other losers to come. it could be fun!" catherine suggested. lucky for her bill hadn't caught on with her plan yet.
"s-sure." he said. night soon fell on the small town and catherine couldn't sleep. over the loud snore of bill she was drowning in her thoughts. how was she going to fix this? she changed the movie by saving georgie! 'i hope my plan will work.' was the last thought that drifted through her mind as her eyelids slowly closed.
10:00 am
bill sat up straight rubbing his eyes. he was awakened by the amount of noise coming from the remainder of his room. as he could finally see his room clearly he saw catherine sitting near her sleeping bag , now anxiously waiting to continue her plan.
"i'm assuming you are ready to go to the quarry?" bill asked slightly chuckling.
"yup! now let's go!" she walked out and closed the door allowing bill to change and prepare everything he thought would be necessary. "i already asked the other losers and they'd all be ready by 10:30!" he heard catherine say on the other side of the door.
In catherine's house pov
"smart..." merel said as a few of the boys turned to her. merel was the only other person who figured out what her plan was. she would get 'hurt' at the quarry and make them all go to the pharmacy so they'd meet beverly and complete the movie. both merel and catherine had yet to figure out how they would mix mike and ben into the group.
Merel explained the plan to the rest of the boys sitting in the living room as that caused them to slowly nod their head and turn back to the tv screen , hoping for the plan to work out.
"remind me to never underestimate either of you." casper muttered as they all continued watching the movie.
