5 | I'M ON TV?

as the now familiar green glow started to take over merel she mentally prepared herself for the obstacles she would now have to face . "relax, you've seen this movie 100x with catherine" merel told herself as she finally dropped down into the place called

derry , maine

"come on , i can do this!" merel told herself before taking in a deep breath and walking in to the pharmacy where catherine had left off. she had noticed bill finally turn around causing the other losers to do so to. "w-who are you? where is c-ca-catherine?" he asked

"long story short. catherine got taken by an evil thing and now it's my turn to come help you guys. didn't catherine tell you everything bill? well , i'm from her universe. i have been sent to save everyone who can pass here and catherine." merel sounded quite heroic if you'd have asked the guys (anthony , casper , niels)

they were still quite mesmerized by the fact that this was all happening.

catherine's house

"damn , i've never been more proud to say that those two are some of my best friends" casper and anthony grinned along to the statement.

derry , maine

"a new chick again? what the hell bill?" suprisingly came from richie . merel only sighed and looked down to her wrist to now see the same watch catherine wore latched around her wrist. she saw that the time had nearly reached 11 am which would mean bev was on the way. she only had to stall for a few more minutes...

merel starts walking closer as the other losers had finally stopped arguing. she continued walking , very slowly. pretending to look very weirded out by the situation in an attempt to stall a bit more. "i-i"

TRING

the bell rang and the doors opened as bev showed up. 'thank goodness'
"hi guys , what are you doing here? have any of you seen catherine?" bev asked looking around the group hoping to see her amongst the crowd.

"about that , can i have a word with all of you? i have quite a lot of explaining to do." merel said.

"i- sure." stan said as the rest started nodding along. "please trust me , can we go to the barrens? quickly before it's to late!"

"yeah yeah okay!" richie answered they nodded along as they ran towards the barrens.

TIME SQUIP

merel thought this through, she saw ben running through the lake just as they reached the barrens.

"ben!" beverly shouted.
she had noticed his name a few times prior as he was in her social studies class. "ben come , we'll help you!" merel shouted as she stood beside beverly.

they walked their way along the road that eventually led them to the pharmacy. "ben why don't you sit down here for a second?" merel offers. "guys , please stay with him. we'll be back soon."

"of course , why not sacrifice the men." richie stated releasing a long sigh as the other guys snicker. the girls ignore the statement as merel drags beverly to the pharmacy. "bev , i need your help.....

catherine's house

"i'm really not excited for our turn." niels said as everyone nods along. "they've seen the movies multiple times. they did it , we have to do it too. i don't even want to know what happens if we don't."
casper says.

"anthony , you okay dude? you're awfully quiet." he continues to ask.

"yeah yeah, i just hope they both make it out. as much as they'd hate me for doubting , i just. i don't know i'm scared." he says while frantically tapping his foot. they turn back to the tv screen , just like they've been the whole day. nervous , to say the least.

derry , maine

bev and merel enter the store as eddie , bill and stan trail behind them. the girls go up to the counter , they sneakily avoid gretta while she just leaves the shop.

beverly takes the tampons that she needed on the way as she and merel go to check out. merel starts the conversation just like she remembered from the movie. "i like your glasses mr keene , you look like clark kent."

"oh , that's very kind miss.?"
"miss johnson." merel came up with the best fake name in the book , johnson. original really.

"can i try them?" beverly asks.
he nodds as he hands her his glasses. just as the plan bev knocks over the sigaret stand "shoot sorry!" she says as merel motions for the other boys to grab the stuff and run.

bev shoves a pack of sigarettes into her pocket as mr keene gets back up. they finish up and leave the store to see the boys standing there already aiding ben.
"so , now that we have a second.what are you doing here again?" richie asks.

"well , i don't think that i should be telling you all that right now. the point is - as crazy as i'm going to sound - there's a clown here in derry. he's taking all the kids and he's taken my friend to. catherine. i'm from a diff dimension where i need to get her back so we have a better shot of not being stuck here forever." merel starts rambling. eddie gets up after bandiging ben.

"take this , it helps me when i'm too stressed." he hands her a puffer as she takes a puff and calms down. "thanks eddie."

" wait , what do you mean you're from another universe? how did you even get here then?" stanley asked her.

"well , in my universe. me and my best friends were watching our favorite movies and everytime we put on a different movie. one of us gets sucked into the universe of sed movie."

"so , you're saying i'm on tv?" richie asked. " yes , but it's a horror movie. catherine got in here in order to save as many people as possible but she lost herself on the way. now i really need you guys to help me get her back."

"we-we'll do it." bill said.
"yeah"
"yes"
"i guess so"

"so , merel. what do we do?" stan asked.
