7 | SCARY TV-GUY

"i-i can't do this." he was still shaking but took his seat in the couch. merel took the dvd and put it in. "hey catherine , can we talk for a second?" merel asked her. "yeah , sure." she got up and followed her to the kitchen. they opened the back door to talk on the terras.

"so , what's wrong?" catherine asked.
"it's casper. he's so scared . can we use the double? can you please go with him and change the app or something.i'm sure you'll figure something out. i really want all of us to make it out. and it can't be me because i came to save you." she said all at once , she was rambling but judging on the state she was in catherine let her be.

"i , i think i know how i can solve it. you know i thought about that when i saw the movie. i think i might be able to get us back as soon as possible." she had an idea. maybe it'll work , maybe it won't. a maybe is all they have right now.

"thank you! will you please go with him?" she asked catherine. "yeah , i'll do it. i'll go." "great , now shall we go back in? share the idea with everyone else and then start that nightmare all over again?" catherine laughed slightly at her sarcasme.

"yeah , let's." they opened the door and came back to a sight they never thought they'd see. casper cluthing to a pillow with niels and anthony trying to calm him down.

"hey guys , we have an idea."

"oh gosh , that would be great. can we tell that scary tv-guy?" casper asked.

"that's not a nice way to talk about someone! but sure , you can use your double. catherine and casper , i hope you're ready. 'cause this ride may not be all that steady. being scared won't be a crime. cause in two hours we're going back in time. good luck dudes , be prepared!" the scary tv-man spoke again.

"let's start this." anthony said. he sighed deeply. he started the movie as it kept on playing , everyone analyzing every single part as it came on. flinching extra hard when someone dies.

every single one of them was scared
every single one of them wanted to know who the sick and twisted person is that's doing this to them.
but every single one of them knew that they had to continue if they all want to make it out alive.

> TIME SQUIP <

the screen shows Quinn , her dad and her sister at her mother's grave. Quinn gets a countdown notification signaling the movie's end.

a scary tune plays as the tv-screen changes back to the hooded figure. there's nothing else to see besides the hooded figure and the desk they're sitting at.

"so so so , are you ready?
do you think you can handle the pressure? if i may say so myself this is a pretty easy level , trust me you can make it out. though a phone is something you can't do without.
so think hard , think fast if you want these fun moments to last."

the horrifying figure leaves the screen once again. as the movie starts over.
casper and catherine start to glow green as they say final words. "see you soon guys , see you soon."

anthony , niels and merel shout words back like " good luck guys!" "we love you!"

the two teens appear in front of the party's house. "okay casper , follow me and whatever you do. don't . download. countdown."

"yeah , of course. i wouldn't download that thing ever." he quickly replies. catherine nods and they both enter the house. "play along" catherine whispers to him.

"guys , can we play?" she asks the table doing the drinking game. "okay i got this new drinking game , hand all your phones to me and the first one that gets a notification takes a shot!"

allie quickly agrees which causes everyone else to follow suit. she takes the phones and stands up. casper remembers this exact moment and moves her an inch to the left.

BOOM

a stranger crashes into her which causes all the phones to fall and crack. catherine  grabs down to get the phones and puts them back on the table. "gosh i'm so sorry!  courtney , evan can we talk?" catherine says.

"yeah , guys can we? it's like really urgent." casper agrees. "oh , okay sure."

they all exit the house and catherine whispers to casper " you explain , i'll keep watch." he nods , catherine goes out to stand by the street as casper , evan and courtney take a seat on the sidewalk.

"so , as weird as this is going to sound we're from a different universe. in our world , you guys are in a movie called countdown."

evan nods , " i've heard about that , there's a new app called countdown."

"i know , it's an app that tells you when you're going to die. and i know you're probably going to think it's fake , but it's real. you see , some person sent us here to save all the people that would die. and you both belong to that category. so please don't download the app. please , it's the only way." casper finished.

"i guess , sure. this is all pretty weird but death isn't really something i want to mess with." courtney agreed. " casper i think we should go, if you need us. we'll
be at the hospital."

they started walking away when casper turned back.

"and guys , please just incase. stay over at eachothers place tonight and do not drive home."

> TIME SQUIP <

the two teens walked towards the hospital. it turned day all of a sudden as they entered the hospital. a lady sat at the receprion desk.

"hi miss , i'm so sorry to disturb but do you by any chance know where nurse Quinn is? i have a question about my sister who left a while ago." casper asked.

"of course , 2nd floor reception will call her in for you." she answers.
"thank you ma'am!" they shouted as they took the elevator up.

"gosh i hope this works." casper said.
"it will , and if not i have a backup plan."
catherine took a deep breath as she focused on the elevator music that was playing softly in the background.

"second floor" the elevator lady spoke.

as the doors opened casper and catherine ran out. "hi-." casper spoke out of breath. there really wasn't a reason to their running they just were. "hi , we're looking for nurse quinn." catherine continued.

the lady spoke , " oh sure she'll be right with you." as if summoned by whoever is causing all this quinn passed the corner. "nurse quinn , these people are here for you." the lady said again. as casper couldn't wait to hear if their plan worked catherine investigated the lady at the desk.

ms lisa furgeson , 'she looked like a nice lady.' "catherine , you coming?" casper asked as catherine noticed she spaced out for a few minutes. "yeah , be right there." she walked over to where they were and as she suspected , its the restricted section where evan and quinn talk in the movie , about courtney's death.

but did that take place , or not ?
