The man walked away and my friend turned back toward me, I wasn't entirely sure about her name but, she knew me right away and said "Sky i am glad you are here, Riley is in serious condition with three broken ribs and bruises all over, we can only assume that this was a

I nodded understanding her knowing she had dumbed it down a bit for me because she knew that I had never experienced this sort of this and then continued on to explain "We had to find some kind of family member or someone he lived with so we went through his phone, he has been here for around 2 hours during that time we did a few x-rays and such so we know what is happening to him. You were the last person he called and honestly I was quite surprised that it was you on the other side of the line but, right now he is about to go into surgery so we can stop the internal bleeding. We need you to sign for his surgery as he unconscious and no one else was at the scene"

I nodded and then she handed me a few papers which I skim read saying that should the patient die it was not the doctors fault as he was already in serious condition and also there were other things like the surgery was covered by his card and not my money and also that as his person to contact I would need to fill in some forms to say where he lives and how to contact him as they would follow up later. I signed at the bottom of the paper and she quickly rushed off to a man with a very large moustache who then hurried around along with a huge amount of other nurses.

My friend came back with the papers I had to fill in and so I didn't rush this time and took a little while to sit down at the desk the nurse had shown me and to look through the papers and write down every single thing I knew about Riley. Honestly I don't know why but, slowly writing seemed to make the time go by faster as I waited for the nurse to come back into the room and tell that either Riley had passed away or he made it through the surgery amazingly and was going to be okay. I felt a tear trickle down my face, I had grown too close to RIley even though I had told myself that I would never grow close to anyone again after what had happened with my parents. It was just that he lived with me now and I saw him every day it was so hard to not grow close to someone like that. I looked down to my feet and saw the tears fall into the lush green carpet and dampen it. Then I said a quick prayer to whatever kind of god was listening to asking him to make sure that Riley was okay and to make sure that Riley made it through this surgery.

As i said Amen I heard the door open and footsteps come in, if it was the nurse I didn't want to know yet. If it was a doctor I didn't want to know yet. But as my eyes rose to the person I realised that it was neither a doctor or a nurse and instead it was a boy with black hair and black sneakers with piercing blue eyes wearing baggy jeans and a long top. He looked down at me as I was sitting and said " Hello Sky, I am glad we could finally meet I am a friend of Riley's from New York"

I blinked a couple of times before clearing my head slightly as he laughed not really lighting up his very gloomy features he then continued "i guess Riley hasn't really said much about me then"
