"Oh, uh... how is Sky?"

"Sky is fine other than worrying her head off about you and trying not to lose one of her jobs because she has to come and see you nearly everyday, yeah we talk a bit whilst she is here and while you were having beautiful dreams of flowers and dandelions I was out here waiting for you to wake up so I don't have to live in a goddamned Motel"

I grunted in reply but, Cerin continued to nag like a woman "You realiseSky has been losing so much sleep after this and I had to enroll in her school so that I knew she wouldn't get into trouble. I don't want to go to school Riley. This is your thing not mine. I mean for christ sake Sky just left for her job at a bar full of those things and I don't think you even know how many there were after you and how many were in the bar when I went there to meet her manager to explain why she is never there"

I made a sign to say I had heard him and then my mind turned to the 2 weeks which I had been out in. This meant there were no updates to my father who had been keen in knowing how each of the hunts had gone after I had told him that I was starting to be in the family business although if he actually read them I got no inclination of his acceptance of it or his denial toward the hunts I had been on. This might possibly mean that he might think I am dead which in fact might be a good thing because this meant I could finally get away from him and continue with my life but, then again I had no way of knowing if he would call out revenge against the monsters which had killed me at the time. So, with that in mind I interrupted Cerin mid sentence to say " Have you told my dad I am okay?"

Cerin shook his head and suddenly went to a serious expression "Do you really want me to tell your father that you got into an accident whilst on a hunt?"

I nodded and said " I don't want him to come out here because if he comes out here then we will be in trouble and I will have to explain why I am living with Sky, a person with no visible connections with this kind of thing. It is for the best to tell him that I am okay"

Cerin nodded and left the room to make a call to my father. I only hoped his was not already on his way here or worse, he already hadn't put a bounty on the monsters head.
