"Its funny, because you were the person who swore to knock down my walls and break through my barriers, but now you're the sole reason I have them up."

"But I still love you."

"Do you? Did you ever? Because someone who loves me wouldn't put me through the pain you did. You were selfish and careless and reckless with my feelings. You did things based on your own needs and didn't care how that effected me. Stepped on me to get your own way without even so much as helping me up afterwards.

Is that love to you? Is that what love means to you? You think love exists solely to please you? To serve you?

Let me tell you something. Love should be a balance. Love should require a push and a pull from both sides, with neither winning. Ever. Because love isn't a game, or something to be conquered. It isn't there for you to use as a means to an end to get your way. Love is fragile and needs protecting, but can also be the strongest thing we experience. Its a warm fireplace on a cold day and a cool breeze on a hot one. It can fill you up when you are feeling a little empty, and it can make sure you never feel empty again. That is love.

What you did was not love, it was manipulation, and I hate that it took me this long to figure that out."
