"dont shoot, dont shoot, i'm just reaching for my wallet"

the sound of a bullet silences him.

"i cant breathe" was the last thing eric ever said.

"my neck hurts, everything hurts, i cant breathe" floyd then called out to his mom before he too, was silenced.

for centuries the police have used their authority and power to silence minorities, or those who threatened their position in society.

for centuries men and women have been unjustly racially profiled, attacked, beaten, abused, bullied, and murdered for their skin color.

for centuries white people have stood by and let it happen.

that ends now.

silence is acceptance,
silence is oppressive,
silence is murder.

for too long black people have cried the loudest and silenced the most, and that needs to change.

white people need to use their voice, not to drown out the sufferings of blacks, but to further share there stories.

they need to use their platform and recognize their white privilege accounts for a lot in society, and use it for good.

speak out, educate yourself and your future children, share stories of racism and have others stories be heard.

realize the systematic racism that has happened since the dawn of time needs to stop somewhere.

be the change this world needs.

remember:

if your silent throughout this, know you have chosen to side with the oppressor, and know that makes you part of the problem.

if your part of the problem, that makes you the enemy.
