    Damon had planned to leave before (y/n) woke up, although he didn't expect to find him already awake, at like 4:00 in the morning! Brooms class was to start at 6:00 before the main academy even opens for breakfast. But (y/n)'s excuse was mainly that learning how to fly and channeling mana into a broomstick will cause one to be incredibly hungry. Having seen the older, more experienced fliers wolf down plates around the first week of school. Although (y/n) paid no heed towards them, he wanted to make sure that his friend didn't plan on channeling magic on an empty stomach. 

  After Damon ate his food, allowing time to digest, he and Arian left. With nothing to do, (y/n) went back to sleep until a few hours later, where he was kindly woken up by Matcha's screeching. Without Arian around, Hanami went to bother (y/n), having woken up. Smiling at the three, (y/n) snuggled them, smelling the aromatic scents that they produced. Stretching, (y/n) changed and took Hanami to the cafeteria to eat something. As it was weekend, the cafeteria was rather empty, still being rather early for any students to wake up. Deciding that the A rank tables were too extravagant for the mornings, (y/n) sat at a random B rank table, grabbing a plate of (food), along with three trays of maple syrup and biscuits. By crumbling the biscuits and mixing them into the maple syrup, Hanami had fun nibbling at the maple covered biscuit chunks.

"Hey isn't that (y/n)? I heard that he's a very helpful tutor, better than some of the teachers here." my friend, Mia commented, pointing at a male with (color) hair. Sitting on top of the table were three colorful blobs, while we had just entered the cafeteria to eat breakfast. I couldn't help but stare at the three blobs who were blissfully eating their food. It took me a moment to understand my friend's comment, but wasn't (y/n) that one mage who deliberately chose to have an F rank familiar? "Is something wrong, Ciana?" She asked while we went to grab our food.

"Oh, it's just a bit strange. Why would anyone choose to have an F rank familiar?" I asked, grabbing a bowl of fruit salad and a cup of hot water. 

"There's a rumor going on that he chose a F rank to treasure his mother's last gift. It's touching, to be quite honest." Mia said. Raising my eyebrow at her comment, finding it rare for her to compliment anyone, regardless if it wad someone she knew well. 

"It's touching, but it's a shame though. Apparently some teachers regard him as a powerhouse, even my hard-to-please father." I remarked.

"Professor Slain? Well if he can please your father, then he really is quite talented then. Professor Slain, from what I've heard from the third years, is quite meticulous when it comes to Alchemy. The slightest errors mean a drop in the person's grade. But apparently, that's the softest punishment he'll give." Mia sheepishly laughed. Glancing at my friend, I simply hummed at her response. It was natural for me to hear these things, having a father who was so detail-orientated, that his plans always turns out well on the first try. 

  Feeling the silence drift between us, Mia tried distracting herself in the fried food section. "You know that's not healthy," I said, shaking my head at her choice of doughnuts, french fries, and ice cream.

"It's called happiness, Ciana." Mia seriously said, rolling my eyes at her comment. Seeing that few people were here, I thought I might as well familiarize myself with (y/n). Walking closer, my eyes drifted to the three blobs, with a stick attached to their backs, it was so... adorable! 

  One was a pink cat, another a yellow-whitish dog, and the last was... it was a cute green bird! They're so fluffy and cute! Are they really F rank? Steeling myself, I asked (y/n) if he minded me sitting next to him. 

"I don't mind at all." He said, his voice sounded friendly, so, I sat down next to him. Noticing a pile of books next to him, I raise my eyebrow once more.
