Ciana's pov

It seems that after (y/n) left, everyone else decides to wake up, though it's only 8:55 a.m. Is this a coincidence? Walking over to my fruit salad, and ignoring the plate of greasy, soaked fried food on Mia's side, I was about to eat, when I was surrounded by my classmates.

"Princess, are you alright?" How did "princess" become my new nickname? I'm not even the child of the headmaster!

"Yes, I'm fine, why?" I sighed, maybe I should've followed (y/n). At least when he was here, it was quiet.

"Did he hurt you?" another asked, huh?

"How immoral, could one man be, to even think about talking to our princess?" a few of them said.

"What do you expect of an F rank? Honestly, I don't understand why Damon sticks to him."

"Ah! What happens if Damon is chained up in the cave for that F rank's twisted experiments?!" Maybe that's why (y/n) left so early, he probably didn't want to hear this mindless chatter. It does make one lose their appetite.

"Ah! Your highness, forgive us, we were-" Ignoring them, I gave my breakfast back to the kitchen and went to search for (y/n). Hearing their comments about (y/n) upset my stomach, so I went to the library for some silence. Hmm... Should I ask (y/n) to help me with homework?

I know that Father wanted me to get close to (y/n) since he was interested in testing his skills, though I can already tell that he's extremely talented. Ugh... why must his familiar be so gosh darn cute?! Matcha was so fluffy, alright, I'll go ask him for help.

Entering the library, I found that there were already several students there, several were just leisurely reading. But there was a group that sat close to (y/n), who were interested in his translations. It had only been a few minutes between his and my arrival, yet he was already on the third book!

"Oh Ciana, you're here! It's been a while since your last visit." Ismene said she seemed well, in fact, maybe even a bit more rejuvenated. I guess with (y/n)'s help, her workload drastically decreased, but it was good to know she was doing well. Ismene had been like an older sister to me, so seeing her well was good.

"Yes, I ran into (y/n) along the way. I'm guessing he's helped you quite a bit." I commented. Ismene smiled brightly, in a low voice she told me I was correct.

"Anyways, I'm guessing you're here for (y/n), I'll be leaving you then." She said, turning her attention to a stack of returned books. Smiling, I walked towards (y/n), realizing that everyone's attention was on me.

"Look, it's the princess!"

"Oh my, she's prettier than the rumors!"

"Look at that salmon pink hair, it's so pretty!"

"I wonder why the princess is here?"

"Is she here for (y/n)?!"

People whispered around me, although I was used to it. Walking up to (y/n), I asked him if he could help me with my homework-further rising the volume of people who were whispering.

"Lucky!"

"Of course."

"No way!"

Waiting a bit, I realized that (y/n) had ignored my request, and continued to scribble down the translations. I wasn't surprised, but the people around us were get louder. Suddenly, a green, glass-like shell appeared around (y/n) and me, blocking out all the sound, as (y/n) continued to translate the book, unbothered.

Inspecting the shell, it was a B-rank Earth spell, 'Emerald Shield'. It was an extremely hard spell to cast, and to have it activate automatically was surprising. It's clear, glass-like sheen was pretty to stare at, that I hadn't realized that (y/n) had stopped writing.
