Jo lets out a gasp and drops the picture she was holding, her body stumbling backwards as sobs escaped from her lips.

I was by her side within seconds, attempting to comfort her.

I didn't allow myself to fully absorb what condition our home was in, being that I was too worked up to even focus.

"What's wrong?" I frantically ask the beautiful, crying girl I held in my arms.

"He's coming for me." She repeats quietly to herself, causing my body to tense.

My head whips around and I glare at Felix. "Talk!"

"I- Um..." He stammers.

"Now!" I growl. "How did they find us?"

I know it probably wasn't right for me to scream at Felix, especially because he looked just as frightened as Jo.

But I needed answers, and I needed them now.

Felix frantically looks between Jo and I before bringing his hands up to his hood, pushing it off his head, and running his fingers through his hair.

"Seb knew I was still loyal to you. He made us all swear if we ever saw you again, that we'd tell him. He's angry Hero. You betrayed him. You betrayed them all. I wanted to come tell you earlier about everything he was planning to do to you... to Jo. But they ended up following me here. They knew Jo would be with you. It was the perfect trap. But thankfully, you guys weren't here. I watched helplessly as they trashed the place. Looking for any sign of you or a way to trace you. I'm so sorry Hero."

Between Felix's rambling and Jo's sobbing, I felt like I was about to pass out, cry, throw up, or all three. So many emotions were running through my head.

All those times, thinking back now, how desperately I wanted to spend time apart from Jo for her safety.

I knew they'd find us.

I knew Seb would find her.

And now, looking at the ruins of the home we made together, seeing Jo's trembling body, and the threat written in blood only leave one thought screaming above the others in my head.

I was going to kill Seb.

I sat in utter silence for what felt like hours, attempting to regain composure after seeing what I had walked in on and the utter fear that a leader of a gang wanted me dead.

All of my thoughts soon become irrelevant however when I see Hero pacing back and forth in front of me. Felix was watching him with as much concern.

I could see the look in Hero's eyes.

A look I had never seen before.

This look was full of anger, hatred, and revenge.

I had a feeling I knew what Hero was thinking, what he was planning.

And there was no way I could let him.

He couldn't.

I needed him.

"Hero." I choke out, my throat sore from all of the crying.

He turns his head ever so slightly, eyeing me for a moment, before looking away.

"Hero." I say more forcefully, standing from the couch. "Hero stop!"

"No, Jo! I've let this monster get away with too much. I can't let this go on any longer. Not now. Not after he's threatened your life."
