she told me everything that happened with jake tonight. i knew he had treated her badly and had made her weary of starting a new relationship, which is why i agreed to just be whatever we are and not in a committed relationship for now, but the thing she told me broke my heart. i might've cried a little. or a lot. but basically, if i try to ask her to be my actual girlfriend, it'll scare her off. she's not ready for that yet. i need to wait for her to make the first move.
