As I arrive at my maths classroom my phone vibrates against my leg in my pocket. I pull it out and quickly check who it is, hoping it's something I can ignore and reply to later. Luke's name flashes onto my phone when I turn it on and I see he has texted me.
Luke ♡ - hey xx
I dump my books onto a desk near the back next to Lydia and open my phone to reply.
"Hi I'm good thanks for asking." Lydia says sarcastically at me, obviously annoyed I ignored her. I flick my attention to her for a quick second and nod, then mumble hello. I return to my phone.
Me - Hey xx
Luke ♡ - How are you?
Me - already so bored of school. you?
Luke ♡ - I agree, and I'm missing you x
Me - Aww thanks so am I. Still on for coffee after school? xx
Luke ♡ - of course x I'll meet you at the front of your school
"Cass!" Lydia hisses, "We do have that maths teacher."
I look up from my phone and see Mr Bennett with his back to us and writing something on the whiteboard.
"Good morning class. As you may know I am Mr Bennett and I have just started here teaching maths." He announces.
A few murmurs are heard around the class and I hear someone say "I am soooo looking to maths this year!" honestly, I agree.
"Alright class, open your books to chapter 1 and we will begin with the first section." Mr Bennett finishes writing the equation on the board and starts talking about our new topic and how the hell we figure it out.
I can't focus on what he is saying and neither can Lydia, she is flicking through tumblr on her phone which she has hidden in her pencil case.
"Hey so did you realise, apparently, Jess's older brother is named Luke." Lydia informs me, "How funny would it be if you were dating him?"
"Hilarious, no doubt." I say, a bit sarcastically.
I pull out my own phone and do the same as her, trying to unzip my pencil case as quietly as I can to not draw attention.
Me - luuuuukkkkeee
Luke ♡ - whaaaat Cass?
Me - I am so bored, entertain me ok? xx
Luke ♡ - Shouldn't you be doing work? I mean you are in school....
Me - so are you....
Luke ♡ - true. ok I'll go back to my school work, good bye.
Me - LUKE
