Broken Mates

Chapter 3

        
        I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU

"Yn" no answer

"Ynniee!" Still no response

A wave of sudden pain hit her when her colleague smacked her head. She hissed and looked at her

"Owww!" She rubbed the part which was hit and pouted

"You were spacing out again!" Yn just sighed and put her head on her computer desk. Since she came, she is biting her lips—a nervous habit of her, she tends to do it when she is unsure of the situations. Taking a last sigh she sat straight and focused on her computer screen. Yn shook her head at her colleague who was waiting for her answer and tried to focus on her work. Namjoon was in meeting, his schedule was so packed today that even if they're in same building they can't meet for today. However that was not the only reason for her distraction, it was something else. She also couldn't figure it out but she knew when Namjoon came to pick her today he was in one of his worst mood. This happens when he have nightmares. Her face became pale at the thought of it. And she wonder what it was this time. The last one was horrible enough for her to not sleep for a week. It's been a month he didn't had any.

"Do you want to share it?" The same colleague from a while ago whose name was Jennifer Luis but known as Jennie to all, asked her worriedly. She was her only friend in this company. Aside from her,everyone hated her cuz she got special treatment from the boss who  happens to be her lovable boyfriend. And not just that but she was the girlfriend of most wanted handsome man. Yn took away her eyes from her computer screen and rubbed her temples, thinking it's not that of a big deal, maybe he was just stressed from the overload of work.

"It's nothing, I'm just worrying for nothing" jennie nodded and focused on the files that she was going through

"I'll be there for you, no matter what okay?" Yn kindly smiled at her

"I know, and I love you for that" jennie laughed and stated in her sweet melodious voice

"We all know who you love" Yn hit her shoulder and continued on her work. It was nice to have someone next to you.

"Miss Yn" the secretary of Namjoon came and she quickly darted her head towards him. Mr Shin, bowed at her, and she quickly returned the gesture

"Mr Kim is out off meeting"

"Can I meet him?" He nodded at her and Yn hurriedly saved her files she was working on and left her office.

She knocked on his office door like always, he had told her not to do that
but this is Yn, who don't listen to anyone, even if a boss or boyfriend. An idea suddenly popped in her head

"Come in" his manly voice echoed from the inside of his office making Yn go week on her knees.

"Mr Kim, You've some guests here" she stated, changing her voice, and lowering her pitch. She heard some movement from inside and in no time the door opened

"Lemme see whose that special guest is" His chill filled voiced greeted her and she just smiled sheepishly at him. Namjoon looked around and pouted

"I don't see anyone special here" he looked at Yn biting the inside of his cheeks, containing himself from laughing. Yn wanted to prank him but she in return got pranked. Yn pouted at him to which he couldn't restrain and pecked her lips

"Yaah! It's office" she pushed him and entered his office room. Namjoon followed and closed the door. Yn took a seat on the couch that was put in the office

"Joon?" She asked, her voice soft and whisper. He motioned for her to continue once he sat next to her and arranged the papers on the table

"You didn't seem in mood in the car!" Namjoon looked at her and gave her a reassuring smile

"I was just tired" Yn seems to didn't buy it and blurted out what was in her mind

"Did you have another nightmare?" Namjoon stopped whatever he was doing and turned his head to her

"You're overthinking" he said and got up to put the files on his computer desk

"I know I'm not"

"Yn-"

"Tell me what was this time—am I gonna get hurt again or am I-"

"Why do you think it's about you?"

"Cuz I know-"

"You don't know anything!"

"Then tell me" Namjoon sighed and turned around

"Yn pleas-"

"Namjoon why you're hiding it from me?" Yn didn't meant to scream but her tone was a little louder than her usual tone. And this act got Namjoon angry

"Cuz I don't want to" he said with gritted teeth and then immediately regretted it once he saw Yn reaction

"Yn-"

"I have work" she said and left the office, Namjoon pulled his hair and released a sharp breath. They rarely have a fight, but when they do it's always on small things like right now. Namjoon was stressed and he knew if he tell her she won't be anything but stressed too. But Yn was one stubborn lady, she wouldn't let go until he tells her everything.

Namjoon left the office and waited for her in the car, she was late and he knew she was intentionally doing it. After sometime of waiting she came and hopped in the passenger seat as quietly as she can. Namjoon looked at her but she didn't look back, just stare straight through in front of her. Namjoon started the drive and for fifteen minutes no one was talking.

"Yn" he called out softly but she didn't react. So he reached out for her hand. She didn't take away her hand so he continued his talking

"I just don't want to stress you out"

"But if you didn't tell me do you think I won't be thinking about it?"

"Right!" He said and took a break infront of his house

"Today you're staying with me!" Namjoon chanted and didn't gave her a time to say something in return of his earlier statement. Yn followed him to his house and once the doors were closed, Yn took his hand and grabbed him to the living room.

"Tell me joon!" Namjoon pushed his hair away and sighed, knowing she won't let go until he tell her everything

"I saw-" suddenly his throat felt dry and a lumped was form which was not allowing him to talk

"I'm waiting" she said softly, and caresses his arm

"Yn I saw you leaving me" his voice was weak and she could felt the pain in it. She automatically throws herself at him and buried her face in his arms

"I won't leave you joon"

"I know you won't, but you know about my dreams" Yn pulled away and stared at him in the eyes

"This time I'll prove these are just mere coincidence by not leaving you!" Her voice was filled of enthusiasm and Namjoon smiled at her, removing all the worries away

"Then do that, Love" Yn smiled at the way he addresses her and hide her blush in his arms
