It was a rainy night and a family of three were on their way home from a relative's house . The mother was sitting at the passenger seat , while the father drives . Their son , approximately 5 years old , sat at the baby seat while playing with his favourite bread plushie .
" Mommy , there's a car there . " their son pointed out the obvious fact that there's a black car settled by the cliff .
Wait.... A CLIFF ?!
" Honey , stop ! I think that car is about to fall ! " the mother panicked .
The father stopped , running down the car along with his wife to see if the passengers are in a good condition , which apparently an unfortunate for them .
The passengers were not breathing , all of them . They scanned through the whole car , there was 3 of them . The parents and their son , just like their family . They felt sorry that the family can't live their life longer as a family .
" Honey , I think you should call the ambulance . " the husband nodded at his wife's instruction
Just when the father was about to call for an ambulance , they heard a baby wailing . The wife wasted no time on checking the car for the second time but in a careful way because one big move could lead the car into falling .
They thought they heard it wrong . They thought it was just a similar voice , but no . There was a baby in the car . The reason why they didn't see the baby was because the son was protecting her by throwing his entire body on top of the baby .
" P...please...S...sa..save m...my sister " it was the boy ! He talks !
The father was trying to save them both , but the boy only hands his sister over weakly . Tears were streaming down his cheeks as he took a last look of his younger sister .
" H...her n...na..name i..is Hy..un J..oo . P..pl..please r..r..aise h..e...r..we..well . "the boy said before finally closing his eyes after knowing that his sister is in a good hand .
The baby starts to wail ever so loudly , as if she knew that she lost her brother . The father wasted no time on calling the ambulance , not before asking his wife to get into the car because it was raining heavily outside and she is holding a baby .
Obeying her husband , the wife gets into their car while trying to shush the baby down . Their curious son saw the baby , then took the opportunity to hold her small fist .
" Mommy , she is cute . Can she be my sister ? "
The mother was taken aback by her son's sudden request . All this time , never once did she heard him saying about wanting a sibling . Maybe he was just curious about having a younger sibling .
" Soobin-ah , you don't mean it , right ? "
She thought that her son was joking . She thought that he was just curious . Instead of saying no , her son cooed at the baby . Moreover , he gave her his bread plushie , which in hell he would never let anyone touches it .
" Be my sister , okay ? Be my sister and we'll play together everyday . I will protect you . "
His mother's confusion starts to ring inside her head , but quickly silenced by the sirens . For now , two options were provided for her.
1 . Adopt the baby
2 . Orphanage home
Staring at the baby , then back to her son , she was confused . She was confused to choose a better choice for the baby .
