“ Do you think I should drop out of school ? ”
“ You're asking me ? ”
“ Yeah ? ”
Yeonjun was staring at Hyun Joo with confusion as why on earth would she ask for his opinion .
“ No ? School is important , why would you drop out — Don't tell it's because of Soobin . ” he frowned.
“ A part of it ?? ”
Yeonjun rolled the paper in his hand , hitting Hyun Joo's head with it . She hissed in pain , pinching his skin as a reflex .
The cafe's workers cooed over their cuteness , thinking that they're a couple on a date .
“ So , why did you call me out today ? ” asked Hyun Joo .
“ No reason . I was tired of doing researches and investigating about YOUR family . Don't you think that I deserve to have a rest with their DAUGHTER ? ”
Hyun Joo squinted his eyes , threatening Yeonjun with her hand up on the air . Yeonjun laughed an awkward one , grabbing her hand down just in case she hits him for real .
“ Kidding , but I'm really here to ease my mind and your presence calms me down . ”
Just why on earth is Yeonjun not straight ?
“ Also , my co-worker is here to meet you since he's also in this shit with us . There he comes . ” Yeonjun waved his hand at the person behind her .
Hyun Joo could smell a familiar expensive cologne coming from Yeonjun's co-worker , as his tall figure shadows around her back .
“ Have a seat , Jay . ” Never in her life has Hyun Joo ever turned around so quick upon hearing the name .
The both were having a staring contest , as Jay's longing eyes could be seen . Hyun Joo smiled , eyes brimmed with tears . Jay had his arms opened for Hyun Joo as the latter wasted no time jumping into them .
“ Hey , flower . How are you ? ” asked Jay while engulfing Hyun Joo into a tight hug .
“ Like shit . ” she answers .
They pulled away from the hug , Hyun Joo's hands still wrapped around Jay's waist . Jay cooed , wiping her tears away with his thumb
“ I'm happy about this reunion and stuff , but mind telling me what this is all about ? ”
Jay smiled , taking a seat by Hyun Joo's side while their hands still interwined with each other's .
“ She's my first love . ”
“ Your what now ?? ” Yeonjun choked on air .
“ Wait , no— We're each other's first love . ” said Jay , staring at Hyun Joo with the most loving eyes ever .
Hyun Joo blushed , reminiscing her memories with Jay in the past . They were so in love , but their happiness ended in a blink of an eye .
“ One question , why did you guys broke up ? ”
“ Well , if you love someone , you have to let them go . And also , Soobin . ”
Yeonjun snorted as he could see that answer coming from Jay . From what he could see , Jay is still deeply in love with Hyun Joo .
“ I wondered why have you been single for so long , Park Jongseong . Seems like your heart yearns for her. Sadly , she's not into you anymore . ” teased Yeonjun .
Jay knows , the fact that Hyun Joo is having feelings for Soobin . From Jay's point of view. Soobin does not deserve Hyun Joo's love . He had witnessed Hyun Joo going around for Soobin , but that man threw her away like she was nothing and be nice to her only when she's useful .
“ It has been years , Jongseong . ”
Jay puts a strain of her hair behind her ear , fixing them for her while smiling so lovingly .
“ Indeed , but this time , I'm not letting you go . ”
“ What do you mean ? ”
He's ready to go all the way for her , again .
“ I'm no longer the old Jongseong . I'm not backing out just because you're into someone else . You deserve the whole world , flower. And I'm willing to give the world to you . ”
Well , Yeonjun's intention of letting them know each other went wrong and now he's third-wheeling .
