Txunamy's POV

Jazzy’s tires screech loudly as I come to a halt right in front of Courtney's house. She is clearly oblivious of the fact that I wasn't listening to her since she leaves the car happily.

“Catch ya later, I love you.” I tell her.

"I love you too." She replies, running hastily into her house.

Courtney and I have been friends since the sixth grade, presently we are in our senior year of high school. Fortunately for us, we live opposite to each other as neighbours.

I quickly park Jazzy and rush into the kitchen, tossing it into the microwave hurriedly. Meanwhile, I run upstairs and knock on my brother's door, I could hear moaning from inside the room.

God damn, Frank.

What if it was our mom instead of me? What would he have said?

I stroll down the stairs, back to the kitchen just in time to hear the microwave ‘ding’. At last, my macaroni and cheese is ready.

Of course, I attack it without further ado.

I had finished my food, taken a cold shower and now here I am, enjoying my favourite TV show. ‘Buzz buzz’, I hear my phone vibrate. I check the time, it reads ‘6:45 pm’, I wonder who it could be.

‘Hey angel, want some coffee? See you in 10 mins at Starbucks – Dylan.’

Wow, I can’t say I am surprised by the demanding tone of his message. His arrogance annoys me to the core.

The real question is should I go or not? I try calling Coco but her number isn’t connecting. I frantically walk to her house but her mom says she is out.

Ultimately, I decide to go.
