Meanwhile in Manhattan at the United Nations, Victor was about to announce the three nominees for the science competition. After getting on stage, Victor grabbed the microphone, to announce the finalists.
"You all voted, and the results are in," Victor explained. "The remaining contestants are, Dr. Ai-Fen of China with her ever lasting flower fragrance, the fragrance that lasts forever. Professor. Clef Blaise of France with his bread speed cooker, and last, but not least is Dr. Santiago Martinez from Cuba and with his automatic chore finisher 5000. The only cleaning tool you'll need, so the Hispanic's won't have to do the work." Victor opened the envelope in his hands to announce the winner.
"And the winner of the bread speed cooker by Professor. Blaise from France," Victor announced. Everyone in the audience clapped, and the French scientist smiled, as he and his wife got on stage. "Apologies to the other countries that participated in this competition," Victor explained. "Including China, and Cuba, there's always next year."
Victor pulled out the trophy for best scientist, and a check for $100,000. "Merci pour cette récompense, monsieur Samuel (Thank you for this reward, Mr. Samuel.)," Clef said. "J'espère sauver tous les enfants affamés du monde avec ma cuisinière. (I hope to save all the starving children of the world with my cooker.)" "Yeah, for a scientist, the Professor doesn't know English," Victor explained. "Anyway, thank you all for volunteering, and we hope to see you all again next year."
After finishing up, the curtains on the stage closed, and Victor returned to his wife who was backstage. The two kissed, and they both went to meet the ambassador of the United Nations, Kelly Craft. "Excellent work, Professor. Samuel," Kelly said. "We might be able to have you be the judge for next year." "Thank you, Kelly Craft," Victor explained. "It was anything I could do for the United Nations." "Well, enjoy your flight back to Las Vegas," Kelly said. "Here's the money for your trip back." The ambassador gave Victor the plane money, and then walked off. "It'll be very good to return home," Chloe said. "But I'll miss the time we spent here. Watching Blue's Brothers at the Broadway Theater, dinner at the Eleven Madison Park, it was so romantic for both of us."
"We can come back here next year, and probably Clayton, and that blog girl he likes with us," Victor explained. "Though, as we'll be working here, they'll probably spend the day going on tours of the Big Apple, so we'll need Walter to keep an eye on them." "Speaking of Clayton, how do you think he's doing?" Chloe asked. "I'm sure he's getting along with my sister," Victor answered. "Though, he's also occupied with stopping those robots that took down Cyber Tech." "Well let's get our stuff from the hotel, and hurry to the airport before our flight leaves," Chloe said. "We'll get there in time, honey," Victor explained.
