Ponyboy opened the front door as carefully as he could not to wake anyone. But, as it was just his luck, Darry and Sodapop were sitting in the living room.
"It's two o'clock in the morning, kiddo" said Darry looking up at Ponyboy who nervously looked to his side not to make eye contact.
"Where were you?" asked Sodapop concerned.
"I was with (y/n)" he answered smiling to himself while thinking of you.
"Guess that's good, but you can't just go running around in the middle of the night again" said Darry sternly but still being relieved that Ponyboy had been with you.
"I promise" said Ponyboy.
He didn't hold that promise, but he didn't care since he got to spend time with you.
