Silence............
As the arms glide across from 12 to 1 to 3 to 5 to 8 to 12
Leaves begin to appear on the branches that were once bare.
Its trunk engraved with the memories that were one winter ago .
Boy ,the world said it wouldn't last ,a ploy ...a lie
You' ll be hurt ,don't fall to hard ,protect the beating life in your chest .
Naive, I stood against the world ,believing I knew you as the back of my hand .
Falling so hard that it shattered my beliefs .
Under the cloud that no matter what you believed in me ,that i had your trust ,I had your heart.
But i was wrong..you were never mine to begin with.
You were in love with the knowledge of love ,it gave you ego a boost that you could have any one ,an upgraded model as many would put it.
Unfortunately i was the pawn who became collateral damage while you stood at the edge of the cliff.
Even damaged I know what I am ,what i believe ,what are my boundaries ,my standards ,I learned to fall in love, head first leaping of the edge without even a safety harness.
Feeling the crisp air whip against my face and through my hair .
Losing you I know ,
