|Maddie|

I walked out of the bathroom clad in loose white shirt and pink plaid pajama pants. My hands were busy drying my hair with a towel. I sat down on my desk chair and placed the towel beside my MacBook. Okay, I might like Apple products a tad bit too much. I opened my phone, the screen light illuminating my face as my room was quite dim at the moment. It was 9:34 pm; I opened my laptop deciding it was still quite early.

The first thing that popped into my view was 39 notifications from my friends group chat.

I am not going to back read that right now.

Ice Cream Boi🍦: I'm just saying if I fall during the relay race and somehow end up dead the next day. You guys know who to sue.

Pastel Pink Queen🌸: You dare fall.

Ms.HasNeverHadABoyfriendBecauseSheRejectsEveryone❄️: Oh come on. Stop being over dramatic and besides, you'd end up at the bottom of a ditch if you fall.

Ice Cream Boi's only hope in a relationship😇: I'll help you throw him in. 🤫

Ice Cream Boi🍦: Kaly, you hurt me.

Ice Cream Boi's only hope in a relationship😇: You'll hurt even more after we throw you into the ditch.

Pastel Pink Queen🌸: Count me in too.

Ms.HasNeverHadABoyfriendBecauseSheRejectsEveryone❄️: Of course, I need all the help I can get.

Ice Cream Boi🍦: Are you kidding me! You guys are just bullying me at this point.

Pastel Pink Queen🌸: Bullying? Me? I would never! 👀

Ice Cream Boi's only hope in a relationship😇: Guys I got to go, my brother's home. See y'all tomorrow and Patrick if you fall the whole class is going to murder you before we could even lay a hand on you. Hahahah

Ice Cream Boi🍦: Again, you hurt me. 😭

Pastel Pink Queen🌸: Bye Kaly! I'll head to bed too guys, I need my sleep. Good night. 😘😴

Ice Cream Boi🍦: Good night guys.

I closed my laptop. Even though we didn't text for that long, talking to them always puts a smile on my face. Pulling out my hair dryer that I kept in a drawer under my desk; I plugged it in to blow dry my hair. I flicked the switch and hot air immediately comes out to blast my face. The horrendous noise it makes fills my room and breaks my ear drums.

While drying my hair, I heard an 'umhp'. What the heck? Did someone just die? Okay that is kind of bizarre. I switched the dryer off and my room was filled with silence. Not hearing anything in particular I carried on.

Dressed in our class shirt, a plain dark grey shirt with a drawing of cute pig on it and the words 'senior class 2020', blue skinny jeans, and a pair of black low top converse. I looked at myself in my mirror, hoping I looked presentable.

My hair was up in a high ponytail, making its medium length look longer. I didn't want to look like a legitimate egg so I let some pieces of my hair fall to frame my face.

I look at my clock. 7:20 am. The fun fest starts on 7:30am.

And I oop.
