We sat down in a booth close to the kitchen doors. We were at a diner by the North Center Mall. We often come here after shopping and after school events.

"Be glad you didn't fall. I even rented a van and to transport your body in," Lily said looking up from the menu.

"You guys are still on about that?" I asked.

"Yep, they are," Kaliya said, her voice bored.

"You know, you scare me sometimes," Patrick said plopping is head on his hand, looking at Lily.

"Oh please you guys love me," Lily snorted as she called over the waiter.

"She's joking about the van right?" Patrick whispered.

"I honestly have no idea," I said snickering.

"What can I get for you-," The waiter said. Wait, I knew that voice.

I looked up from my menu to see a boy with black hair and dark blue eyes, Nick. This was going to be interesting. My eyes darted to Lily, her face was devoid of any emotion. 

"Oh..uh..hi..uhm..hi Lily, Patrick, Kaliya. Maddie," He said with a little wave of his hand. His face was getting red.

"Hi," I said waving back and Patrick nodded his head in acknowledgment.

"What's up," Kaliya said.

"Owh..uhm..nothing much anyway what can I get for you guys?" Nick said grabbing his notepad and pencil.

"We'll have two chicken with mashed potatoes and 2 ham and egg pastas," Lily said her eyes glued to the menu.

"Would you like any drinks," Nick said as he scribbled down the order.

"One green tea latte, 2 strawberry milkshakes, and one lemonade. That's all," Lily said, her eyes once again glued to the menu.

"All right. Your order will be here in ten minutes."

"Talk about awkward," Patrick said once Nick was out of ear shot.

"She knows," I said looking at Patrick then at Kaliya.

"Wait. What! When? How? Where? Who?" Kaliya questioned all at once.

"I mean it was obvious," She said giving us a nervous smile.

"You don't like him. Do you?" Patrick asked.

"That is also very obvious," I said.

"Well he's cute and all but not really my type," Lily said.

"You going to reject the poor soul?" Kaliya asked.

"I mean it's better than whatever is going on now," Lily said placing her chin on both of her hands.

"Yeah..what is going on with you and Mr. Blond Guy. Ay? Maddie," Patrick said putting the spotlight on me.

I think he really might need to go live with his uncle in Canada now.

"Mr. Blond Guy?" Lily asked poking me.

"Is he hot?" Kaliya asked which earned her a glare from Patrick who put his arm around her shoulders.
