Was I falling for him? Already?

I face palmed, trying to hide my blushing face. "Y/N, maybe you should go home. It's almost your curfew..." Runa tells me. Oh I completely forgot about my curfew!

"U-Uh, yeah I guess you're right Runa. Thanks for inviting me over... Bye!" I acknowledge them as I run to the doorway. Yomozuki follows me behind and I open and run out the door, listening to the satisfying shutting noise that it left behind. They already got the door fixed?

I checked my phone and it was 7:45 pm. My curfew is at 8:00 pm, which is in about 15 minutes. The clock just turned 7:46. "Should we call an Uber or something?" I ask my companion. "I don't really want to walk all the way there."

"I know a shortcut between this street and yours, so how about we go the shortcut?" Runa suggested. I shrugged but she grabbed my hand and dragged me down the street. I eventually was able to get out of her grasp but still followed behind her closely.

After a solid ten minutes of running, we arrived at my neighbourhood. I didn't live in the most fancy place, but I'd call it average. Any place that has at least two floors, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room is good enough for me. After all, I was a foster child.

I was an accident and my mother was too scared to get an abortion. So right when I was born, I was taken to an orphanage. Luckily for me, I was adopted straight away by two very nice people, who were currently my foster parents. I'm 18 now, and they've treated me like any other child I knew, which I'm thankful for.

They do happen to be on the strict side, as they put on a curfew for me and only allow me to go out on weekends. I spent most of my time at Gamblerama on those special days.

Anyways, I waved goodbye to Yomozuki and pulled out the keys for my house. I inserted the silver key and the lock clicked open. The place was tidier than usual, which was nice. Mom had probably just gone through spring cleaning right before she left. Although today wasn't a weekend, both of my parents worked for the same company and attended business trips quite frequently, so I get a lot of time by myself. I snook out a lot while they were away.

They just happened to be away on their anniversary today. Although I knew I could've stayed out longer, I still prefer to get back by curfew just in case.

I climbed up the stairs to my room and hummed a song that's been going around in Japan lately. I opened my room's door and I changed into my pyjamas. I stalked over to the bathroom and did my normal nighttime routine. I came back to the bedroom not long later and plopped myself onto my medium-sized bed. I scrolled through my instagram when a phone call came in.

It was from Kurono. I playfully tapped the decline button, but he called in again. I sighed and pressed the green button. "What do you want?" I ask tiredly.

"Well, babe. I just wanted to know if you wanted to go out anytime soon? Like a date, yeah?" Kurono responds. Why the hell is this guy so pushy?

It'd be nice to know him a little better, since I do kind of like him, but not crush worthy. "Sure," I tell him.

"You're choice of where you want to go," Kurono says. "By the way, call me Hari when we're not in public, I like that name more," he informs me.

"Alright Hari. How about a café? I know one not too far from your house, and maybe you could crash at my place afterwards?" I suggested. I usually went to that café to get some coffee if I ran out of instant coffee. Sometimes I'd get Bubble Tea if I feel special.

My parents first gave me a budget, after I made my own money off of gambling, they soon let me spend my own money however much I wanted. They always warned me about getting addicted to gambling, but they supported me no matter what.

"Sure sounds great. Is 8:30 am okay?" He asks. I usually got up at seven so I guess there wasn't a problem.

"Sure. Should we meet up there or should one of us pick the other up?" I asked him. I didn't really trust him yet, so I wasn't sure about giving sway my address. But since I lost the bet, I guess he'll choose.

"I guess I can pick you up. What's your address?" he questions me.

"Is the purpose of this call to get my address?" I ask him suspiciously.

"Maybe," he replies sarcastically. "But yeah, it was. You caught me red handed I guess," he admits awkwardly. I giggle a little bit.

"Yeah, figures. My address is 000 on 00000 street, it's not as fancy as your place so don't get your hopes up," I tell him with a smirk on my face.

To me, guys like him are stereotypically stuck up and the kind of person who gets whatever they wanted in a snap of a finger. He was kind of different, since he bets everything instead of wagering money. To me, I'd call him pretty hard working, and he earns everything fairly. I guess Chisaki is an example of my view of rich guys as he only wanted the money.

"Oh that place? Alright. See you in the morning babe," Kurono hangs up. I was about to retort "Don't call me babe" but I don't think he'll ever get the message. I sigh in annoyance and drift off to sleep, thinking about Hari.

My last thoughts were, "He's such a flirt."
