Maybe a life without Pops won't be too hard.

We had visited Pops the day after and soon enough, he was discharged from the hospital with his new medicine. Dr. Ishigami insisted us to contact him immediately if anything serious or critical happened. Also, Gamblerama was officially sold and Pops said the money should go to me because of all my hard work.

Today, I went to work for a morning shift at the café and it was payday. I didn't receive that much, but a job is a job and money is money. Work was easygoing but frustrating at the same time, and some customers were just not helping my situation.

After work, I walked back home. I was greeted by Nemoto on the way in and I said hi back. Hari and I scheduled a date for today evening and I was excited to go. We were planning to go to Hari's favorite chinese restaurant, just because we didn't know much other places. I've never been there before, but I hope the food's good.

It was 6:30 pm and I got into a pair of fancy clothing, just for the occasion. I grabbed my black purse that I rarely used, and stuffed my phone and some cash inside. I did my hair with more effort than usual and applied lip gloss, looking extra lady-like this evening. I smiled at my appearance in my dresser mirror and there was a knock at my bedroom.

We lived in the same house, yeah. But what's wrong with making it feel like an old fashioned date? I happily opened the door and I was faced with my beautiful boyfriend. "Hey Hari," I greeted him with a gleaming smile.

"Hey Y/N. Let's go," he grabbed my hand and walked me across the hallway, down the stairs, and out the door. No one was there to see us except Kai, but he was far too focused on his game to notice us. I didn't complain though.

Kurono drove us to his favorite restaurant, which was called Toh-Ka-Lin, a modern Chinese cuisine. There were very few of these restaurants around Japan, and there happens to be one about 15 minutes away from Pop's house. We arrived in no time, and we walked inside the fancy place. The place was pretty jam-packed and I'd say about 90% of the tables were occupied.

Taking a seat, we ordered our food. Hari ordered lots of Gyoza (also known as "Jiaozi" for you asians like me, english definition is dumplings), which he claimed to be the best dish out of the whole restaurant. I ordered my preferred dishes and the food came in almost no time.

The service was great, yes. I took a bite of my food and instantly fell in love. "Wow," I said, after swallowing my mouthful of food.

"Great, right?" Kurono asked, eating a dumpling. "Mmm this is so good Y/N you gotta try this," he said, while grabbed one Gyoza with his chopsticks and placing it on my plate.

"Uh-huh. Thanks," I gratefully took the small portion of food. I lifted it up with my chopsticks and ate it, realizing it tasted it was exactly how other dumplings tasted.

But like two million times better.

"What the... It tastes the same but– how is it so good?" I took another Gyoza from my boyfriend's plate and stuffed it in my mouth. "Holy crap I could eat this all day."

Hari laughed, then drank some of his tea. "That's exactly how I feel," he smiled, then ate another dumpling. I grinned and dug in on the food, admiring the exquisite taste and quality. I soon finished my dishes and laid back, satisfied. Kurono did the same and laughed.
