The rest of the week went by in a flash; people were getting recognised on the streets due to the sports festival and every student was discussing their future internships. Everyone was very pumped to do actual hero work and at the side of real heroes nonetheless. However, I wasn't as excited for those couple of days. I will have to do Hero work, a lot of it. I had a full week of doing nothing but Hero work. I love saving people, don't get me wrong. But it does get very very tiring if you do it every night. Also, I had to go see Endeavour, which I wasn't looking forward to at all. It didn't help that Todoroki will be there too, which means he will be able to hear us arguing, which is really something the kid doesn't need. But we will all just have to deal with it.
It was Friday and everyone was even more excited than ever for their internships since they will be going on Monday so they only had the weekend. At lunch, all of class 1-A sat on the same table, even Bakugo. We were all discussing the heroes they chose and where they will be going. Todoroki was going to see Endeavour as he wanted to train his left side. While Bakugo chose Best Jeanist. I was amused by that as it was highly probable that he will make Bakugo wear jeans or something. Uraraka was going to train with Gunhead. Everyone was surprised by that as they didn't think she was the combat kind of gal. But we all cheered her on anyway.
As I heard the bell for the last class of the day, I felt kind of relieved, but I was still not looking forward to next week. I slumped in my seat, tired and defeated. All the thought about next week got me busy and distracted. Finally, Aizawa got in front of the class and started the lesson, we didn't have hero training, instead, we did some Hero Informatics, which was quite boring. After the lesson finished Aizawa walked over to me as I was packing my stuff away.
"All Might wanted to see you in his office," he said tiredly. I sighed.
"Ugh, what does he want now? I'm tired," I groaned.
"I don't know. But he had a police officer with him," Aizawa sighed and walked away. That officer must be Tsukauchi.
"Okay. Thanks, Aizawa," I yelled over my shoulder as I ran out of the classroom. I just heard him groan something in the likes of 'whatever'.
I laughed and continued my journey to Toshinori's office. As I neared the room I could sense that Toshi was, in fact, with Tsukauchi. I opened and door and was instantly greeted by the two older men.
"You called for me," I laughed as I sat down.
"Yes, I got something important to discuss with the two of you," Tsukauchi said and Toshi and I nodded our heads, getting serious, "So we studied the Nomu from the attack at the USJ. We believe it was genetically modified in a way to only follow orders. We have tried to question it but it remained silent and unmoving, therefore making us believe it had no way to think for itself. It also didn't seem to need any water or food to survive. And we came to the conclusion that it was bioengineered in some way to be able to hold several quirks. After running several DNA tests we found out that it contained the DNA of four different humans."
"So they were all dead? That means the Nomu isn't even alive?" I asked.
"Yes," the police officer replied.
"But is it still even human?" Toshinori asked.
"It seems his whole body was modified by drugs and chemicals to be able to hold multiple quirks. Well, the real issue is that the different DNAs somehow lead to it having multiple quirks. Taking in somebody's DNA wouldn't result in gaining extra quirks unless there was another transference factor at play. One For All made you pretty familiar with that concept, it could be a quirk that bestows quirks," Tsukauchi explained.
"So it's All For One then," I stated simply.
"Most likely."
"So I'm guessing he is making many of those creatures, which could be quite a problem," Toshi said thoughtfully.
"It sure would be problematic, but nothing we can't deal with, hopefully," I said and they nodded.
"Well, anyway, I have to go as I have work and I'm sure you would like to relax after school, Reneii," Tsukauchi said as he stood up. We stood up too and said goodbye to our friend. He left but Toshi and I stayed in the room. We sat in silence for a moment, thinking about the information we just received, but then I decided to break the quiet.
"So, Izuku is going to train with Gran Torino?" I snickered.
"Yeah. Poor child," Toshi also chuckled.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back traumatized. Gran Torino is one hell of a trainer."
"He's brutal. He would train me until I got at least ten bruises. He was ruthless. Maybe he'll go easier on your brother since he knows you would hurt him if he hurts Izuku," Toshi joked.
"I wouldn't hurt him. I would... scold him very violently," I laughed.
"That's called hurting someone."
"If you insist."
We talked and laughed for a while more but then I decided to leave since I still wanted to spend some time with my family before I have work in the evening.
