" Y-YOU! BECAUSE OF YOU, OUR FAMILIES NAME, MY NAME, YOUR MOTHER'S NAME , EVEN YOUR BROTHER'S! WE WERE HUMILIATED BECAUSE OF THAT DISGUSTING BEHAVIOUR OF YOURS! *slaps* GET OUT! ".
" *sniffs sniffs* ".
" Oh dear. Calm down please! This anger of yours will affect your health! Chris dear.. go upstairs first. Mummy will handle your father in a minute. ".
*slowly walks upstairs*
" Dear... Control yourself in front of him... ".
" You don't understand! He's such a humiliation for us! *sighs* What am I gonna do about him... ".
" *softly* Why is my dad like this.. ? *sniffs* ".
" Wait! I hear that brat! *looks at the stairs* Oh. So now you're eavesdropping on my conversations?!! You're really trying to get yourself in harm's way! I'M COMING UP! ".
*walks angrily towards the stairs*
" N-No! D-Don't! Ahhhh! Helpppp!!! ".
*wakes up*
My eyes widened with fear as soon as I sat up from my bed. I was drenched in sweats.
" Jeez, it was only a nightmare... ", I said while wiping away my sweats.
Why do I still have nightmares like this?
It's too unbearable.
I can't stop thinking about that scary face on my dad when he tried to.... beat me up.
It felt so real. Like it was always happening over and over and over again!
My mum's face looked petrified.
" Haish! ", I said with an irritated tone.
I grabbed my phone that was charging next to my bed.
I looked at my phone and noticed a few messages that were left unread from a couple of friends of mine.
" Asking to drink? Dude. My alcohol tolerance isn't that strong and not to forget, it's literally pass 7 in the morning.... WAIT A MINUTE.... ", I told myself.
I glanced at the time once again.
It showed 7:05a.m.
" Oh crap! Work starts today! Dammit! I over slept again! ", I said in a hurried tone.
I quickly grabbed my towel and hit the showers. I then came out, took a toasted bun and started eating it while running along the side streets.
To where?
Well. Here's a quick intro about me.
The name's Chris Wales. But you can just call me Chris. I'm currently living on my own in New York. I used to live in LA, as the youngest son of the CEO of Leopard's Clothing, but I didn't want that life. I didn't like being known as the " rich kid ".
So, starting from the age of 14, I started dressing up as an average guy. I wore clothes that were bought from markets, used the not so latest gadgets and acted like a local guy.
My older brother, Stephan. He knew about me doing this secretly, so he just let it slide.
But, when my dad found out, my relationship with him became incredibly intense.
He found out through my laziness and cowardice.
One night, I was in a hurry from class and had to get to a dinner. I didn't have any spare clothes to wear. So, I just went with what I had.
