Ever since my birthday, Adam and I have been going out. We would occasionally stay at each other's places and spend the night there, either watching movies, making out or making love. We haven't told anyone about it, yet. But I'm sure that they're suspecting something between us. The only person I told, actually, was Noah.
"Really?" he said. "I'm not surprised actually."
"Whatever, my dude. Hope you're doing well."
"And I hope Adam's treating you well. I'll come and visit soon."
"That's great. I'll talk to you some other time. I need to head to Adam's place," I said.
"'Kay. Don't do anything foolish," he said jokingly.
"I'm way ahead of you. Bye." I hung up and got in my car, driving to Adam's place.
I arrive and I unlock his door with a spare key he lend me.
"Adam? I'm here," I say.
"I'm in the bedroom," he replies.
I get a piece of chocolate from his fridge and head to his room. He was currently working on his new video.
I take a bite from the chocolate.
"Hey," I greeted.
"Hi, Beautiful," he greets back.
I walk over to him and kiss him passionately. He kisses back and we stay like that for about seven seconds.
"How come you're not at work?" Adam asks. I walk to his bed and sit down.
"Told them I was sick." I wasn't entirely lying, though. I was sick. Sick of working there at the moment.
I looked at his drawing tablet in curiosity. "What's your video about?"
He looks at me and smiles. "I know it's cliche but.....it's about this awesome girl named (Y/N). She's really beautiful and smart and funny and a really great kisser and I love being with her."
I grin at him and say,"She must be one hell of a girl. Really lucky to have you."
Adam laughs and says,"I think it's the other way around. I'm the lucky one."
I stood up and kissed him again. I sit on his lap and he grabs me by my ass, squeezes them, making me gasp. I hungrily kiss him, tongue included. And there goes our third make out session this week.
If only life could continue being like this. Me and Adam together.
Except life doesn't do favors for anyone.
It happened a week later, after I hung out with James for a change. Adam needed to focus on his next video so I gave him space.
I had arrived home and expected to see Cypress coming at my feet. Instead, Noah was there, which is a good thing, right? Well the good thing came with bad news.
"What the hell do you mean I'm going back to LA?" I asked him.
"No, (Y/N). You don't understand--"
"No! If mom and dad think that they can't just ruin my life so easily by sending me back there, they're fucking wrong."
"I know but--"
"They never gave us the love we deserved, Noah. And they think that it's just so easy to let us-- me-- run the business? Can't they just leave me alone--"
"It's dad!" Silence filled the room. I softened my expression and quietly spoke. "What's wrong with him?"
"He had a stroke five days ago."
"Where is he? How's he doing?"
Noah sighs. "He's at home," he answered.
"Why's he not in the hospital?"
"He thinks he's not gonna last so he insisted he wanted to pass at home. But he still wants to see you."
I sit down on one of the plush chairs and try to process it all.
Dad's having a stroke and now I have to get back to LA to see stay with him until his last dying breath....
I exhale and look at Noah.
"We'll be leaving tomorrow. Let me just prepare my luggage," I finally said.
"You can rest in your room."
"Okay," Noah said. He proceeded to his room.
"Wait." He stops.
"How long do you think I'm staying?" I ask. Noah turns to me. "Honestly," he said. "I don't really know. But I'm sure it's gonna be a long time."
I sigh and tell him to rest. I need to think.Summer's here bitches. Now I have more time to update this story. I bet some of you, readers, are currently homeschooling due to the COVID19. It's tragic really and many people are getting infected (like Tom Hanks!!! Forrest Gump!!!). Stay safe mah peeps.
