Staying alone with no one to talk to but your dog can be really lonely. The first few days of the quarantine didn't really bother you, considering that you stay at home most of the time. However, it had been months and the boredom can drive you to the brink of insanity. Or maybe you dreaded the loneliness because you won't be seeing the love of your life for a long time.
"God, I really miss Adam so much," you told your dog, Cypress. You were currently lying on the floor in your pajamas with messy bird nest hair.
The dog just licked your face in response. You decided to just stand up and get your shit together, scolding yourself for hosting a pity party.
Lack of human interaction is making you lose your mind. You try to remember what you should be doing right now. Then it occurred to you.
'Man, I need a bath.' You walked to your bathroom bringing your phone for some reason.
After preparing your bath, you took off your clothes and slowly went in the tub. You immersed yourself in the relaxation of the bath and sighed. All of a sudden, your phone rings.
"Why now of all times?" you grumbled. It was a video call. From Adam. You smiled at yourself as you answered the call.
"Hey Adam."
"Hey. How are you today? I see you're currently in your bath." The sound of his voice made you realize just how much you really missed him. It hurt so bad you wanted to cry.
"I want you here so badly," you said in a soft voice.
"So do I," Adam replied.
"I just hope this quarantine ends soon. If it does, I'll never skip work again."
"Are you sure about that?" Adam asked jokingly.
"Uuhh...if this ends soon I'll stop being mean to James."
"Not convincing me y/n. It's not working."
"I can't help it. I like teasing James."
"I bet we all do."
You were silent for a few seconds.
"Hey Adam?"
"Yeah?"
"I miss you."
"I miss you too."
"When can I see you again?"
"Let's wait and see."
"I hate COVID."
"Well so do I."
It went silent again.
"Y/n?"
"Hm?"
"When this is all over, I'm gonna run to you. Then I'm gonna hug you and kiss so much to make up for the time I didn't in this quarantine. How does that sound?"
"Mm, it's lacking something," you playfully said. Adam sighed and smiled at you.
"And we'll go get chicken nuggets at McDonalds."
You giggled at this and said,"I look forward to that."
Adam laughed and said,"You better wait for me."
"I've been doing that the entire time."
"I've been thinking about you a lot."
"Weirdo."
Adam laughed at your remark.
"Adam."
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you 3000."
"Ugh, no stop that."
"I know you liked that."
"Do not."
"Yeah right." Adam rolled his eyes.
"I gotta go. My bubbles are dying," you said referring to your bath.
"Aw too bad. I'll call you later."
"Looking forward to it."
"Love you."
"Love you too."
You ended the call and placed your phone on the sink. You sighed with contentment and you thought to yourself, 'I'll be waiting.'
