{Y/N's POV}
A month after our hangout, I received a text from my cousin, Juniper. We haven't seen each other for a long time so I eagerly went to check the message.
Her message was about how she really missed me and she asked if we could hangout in an open restaurant 2 hours away from where I live. Of course, I said yes. It was scheduled tonight at 7:00 pm. I went out to catch a breath of fresh air. This feels nice. I should do this more often.
Time skip •^•
I'm about to meet up with my cousin and I'm feeling pretty anxious. Why? I haven't seen them for so long! It's been like, what? 7 years? Who knows? Juniper might've had plastic surgery. I'm overthinking things.
*ring*
I jump, startled by the sound of my ringtone. I thought that it was a call from Juniper but it wasn't. It was from Adam.
"Hello?"
A- Hey! I was wondering if you would want to join James and I to dinner.
"Sorry. I'm gonna have to pass. I have dinner with my cousin."
A- Like a reunion?
"Sort of."
A- It's alright. We can hang out another time.
"Sure. That'd be great."
A- Alright. See you.
"Bye."
I end the call and looked at the time. I gotta pick up Junie then. I get in my car and drive off.
I arrive and search for her. I text her.
Y- Hey. Where are u?
Ju- I'm right next to you ;)
What? I turn my head to see a beautiful woman next to me. She smiles at me and I smile back.
"Junie!!!"
"(Y/N)!!!"
We hug each other tightly and tears well up in my eyes. God, I miss her so much.
"How have you been?" I asked.
"Great."
"Oh. I can tell. You didn't have plastic surgery after all."
She smacks me and we burst out laughing. The people around us might think we might've been on crack. That's how I feel right now.
"So, how bout that dinner?" I ask.
"Let's go then."
We both went in my car and left, driving to the restaurant.
We arrived and the places looked pretty good. Lots of food, a concert, and--oh my lord. What's that delicious smell?
We sat down and a waitress handed us our menu. We finished ordering and the waitress left.
"So, how's life for you?" Junie asked.
"Oh, great. Met new people. In fact, famous."
"Really?! Who?"
"Just some animators who go by the names of James from the oddonesout, Jaiden from Jaidenanimations and," I paused. "Adam from somethingelseYT." I smiled like a doof after mentioning his name.
"You paused."
"Yeah?"
"Why'd you pause and smile after?"
I suddenly got flustered. "There's no problem is there?"
"Mmmm...Whatever (Y/N)."
Our food was served and and looked so damn good.
"Wow..." I say, dreamily.
"Well, let's dig in!"
We ate and let out obscene moans every bite we took. I'm supposed to be embarrassed by all the looks we're getting but who cares?
Out of nowhere, Junie asks,"Do you have anyone you like?"
I thought of Adam for some reason and I blushed.
"No. Why'd you ask?" I ask, nearly stuttering a bit.
"Oh nothing. Hey, tell me about Adam. He sounds interesting~"
"Well...He's really nice,full of sunshine, really funny, charming, has a cute personality, hot--" I stop, realizing what I had just said.
"Oohhh...Sounds like you really have a love life going on."
"No I don't!" I say a little defensively.
"ALRIGHT!!!" The host tried to get all our attention.
"So, any one who wants to perform here may do so. Feel free to come up here right now."
Junie nudges my arm.
"Dude, you got this. You're so good at singing."
"What?! No way."
"Come on. I'll push you there."
Junie starts pushing me off my chair which caught the attention of the host.
"You wanna have a go?" he asks us.
"I-I uh..."
"She wants to."
I look face Junie and gave her a death glare. All she did was give a thumbs up. I sigh in defeat.
"Ok. I'll go."
The crowd starts cheering for me and I start trembling terribly. Welp. It's too late to back out now.
The music starts playing "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift. Here goes nothing.
Hey my beautiful peeps. I'm very sorry for not uploading for a week. School's been pretty shitty. Lots of projects here and there. I'll just try to upload more often. That's all I could say my peeps.
