"Soooo....????" Jaiden doesn't continue. We're in her room staying lazy and chatting up nonsense. So much for starting the day productively.
"What?"
"Tell me about...you know...???"
"If I knew, I would've told you."
Jaiden sighs.
"You're date? What happened?"
"What date? I never went on a date." I knew but I kept stalling.
"Holy--you're hang out! With Adam!!"
"Ooohhhh.....now I know." I stifled a laugh and bit my lip.
"Whatever. Tell me."
"It was good."
"Obviously, but give me the details. Did you guys KISS????"
I jerked my head to her direction. I growled with my face bright red. And Jaiden just laughed there like it was the funniest joke she's ever heard or told.
I calmed myself down and decided to get even with her.
"Oh Jaiden, I remembered something. I have been meaning to ask you about your relationship with James~" I emphasized the last part.
That seemed to do the trick because she abruptly stopped laughing and a flash of nervousness appeared across her face.
"W-What are you talking about?" She starts to sweat nervously.
"Well I just assumed that because of how your intimacy matched with a couple's. A married couple." I turned away from her and harrumphed with glee.
"And I mean," I continued. "James is a great guy. He has LOTS outstanding qualities and now that I think about it, he does have some that you mentioned you'd want in a guy."
"Uh-I-no!!!" She's stuttering a lot. I hit the bulls-eye. She starts to heat up and I start laughing and she tells me to leave, still flustered. I did so. Well, not without saying,"I SHIP JAMEDEN!!!!"
She,then, yells,"I SHIP ADAM ORTIZ WITH (Y/N) (L/N)!!!!"
I looked around to see if anyone heard.
"Jaiden, that was too obvious!"
"Woops," she says in a fake concerned tone."Sorry, Mrs.Ortiz."
"Whatever, I'm leaving."
I fled the house, embarrassed of what Jaiden said.
"Hmph! Stupid Jaiden."
A couple minutes later, as you neared home, you hear 2 familiar voices.
"Come on Adam, tell me. Do you like her?"
"Quit asking me, James. You'll never get an answer from me James."
James and Adam we're arguing while they bought ice cream. Apparently, Adam bought two.
"Why'd you buy two?" James asked. They still don't know that I'm here. Listening.
"Dunno."
"Anyway! Just answer me. Do you like (Y/N)?" James, what the heck?
"Shut up James."
"Are you denying her?"
"What?-no-I--"
"So you like her?" There was eagerness in James's tone.
I started to speed walk all the way home.
"Well I--(Y/N)?"
I froze. I turned around slowly.
"Uh...hi guys...."
I noticed the ice cream in Adam's hand started melting.
"Adam? Your ice creams are melting."
Adam notices and doesn't know what to do.
"Oh shit."
"How bout you give (Y/N) you're other icecream?"
"But I--"
"I'll eat your icecream," I said.
He hands me the icecream and I eat it happily.
James gets tissues and hands them to Adam. He starts wiping his hands. Luckily, his clothes were safe.
"What are you doing here anyway?" James asks me.
"Can't I enjoy Mother Nature from time to time?"
James gets a call from Jaiden.
"Mmmmm...talk to me. Oh alright."
He ends the call and says that Adam and I can go ahead.
We start walking without James.
"Where are you heading?" Adam asks.
"Just heading home."
"Cool. I'll walk you there."
"Thanks."
It took about 10 minutes to finally reach home.
"Thanks Adam. For last night. Had so much fun with you."
He smiles and I return it too.
"It's my pleasure."
"Well, bye."
"Later."
He starts to walk away when he stops and turns around.
"It's too late to say this but the ice cream,"
"Yeah?"
He scratched the back of his neck.
"I had already bitten it."
